The GoPro offers 170° FOV (Field of View) while using 720p resolution.

FOV goes down to 127° if we use the 1080p.Since it‘s a fisheye lense effect we will have to determine how to get the best view.

Camera distance and it‘s limits

Limits:• Length of A

increases ->

Camera distance increases.

• Length of B increases

-> Length of A increases

We are limited by parameters.

Camera distance 370 mm

A B

Page 4: We need to determine where the camera will be positioned from the object. Lárus Guðmundsson Hönnun 2012

Optimal camera distance was determined

by experiments.

• Distance from camera: 370±

10mm

Length of B (from object to the box) is

dependant upon the camera distance.

• Distance B: 100± 10mm

Optimal distance

Adjust angle of cameraso the box will not be visible.

Must be as light as possible.

• Camera box: Plastic.• Camera fastener: Carbon fiber

square profile.• Box: Styrofoam.• Object fastener: Carbon fiber rods.
