    ALL-TIME PLAYERS OF THE WEEK 2001-02 Week of Nov. 12-18: Rose Shaw, Central Washington (C, 6-1, Sr., Bellevue, WA - Interlake) played just 40 minutes, but scored 52 points and had 22 rebounds as the Wildcats won the first annual Rodeo City Classic. Shaw, who converted on 19 of 26 shots and also was credited with six steals, scored 28 points and had 17 rebounds in a 31-point win over Northwest College after collecting 24 points and five rebounds in a 41-point win over Cascade. Week of Nov. 19-25: Melanie Wagoner, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-8, Sr., Beaverton, OR) was named to the all-tournament team in the North Star Invitational, which featured three Division I schools. Wagoner had 20 points, 12 assists and four steals, including seven points, five assists and four steals in a seven-point semifinal win over Northern Illinois. She also had 13 points and seven assists in a nine-point loss to Western Illinois in the championship game. Week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2: Cal-Jean Lloyd, Seattle (F, 5-10, Jr., Tacoma, WA - Mount Tahoma & Highline CC) scored 36 points and had 17 rebounds as the Redhawks divided a pair of games, defeating Warner Pacific 85-47 before losing to Montana State-Billings 76-69. Lloyd had a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds against Warner, and then contributed 17 points and four rebounds before fouling out with eight minutes left against the Yellowjackets. Week of Dec. 3-9: Mandi Dinan, Western Oregon (P, 6-2, Sr., Beaverton, OR - Westview) and Alysson Kollmann, Northwest Nazarene (F, 5-10, Jr., Nampa, ID) . .Dinan shot at a 75 percent pace (15 of 20) and had 31 points and 13 rebounds as the Wolves extended their winning streak to five with wins over Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks. Dinan was nearly perfect, making nine of 10 shots, against UAA. . .Kollmann helped the Crusaders to a split of a pair of games with two of the top teams in the GNAC. She had 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals as NNU rallied from an 11-point deficit to upset nationally sixth-ranked Seattle Pacific. Earlier in the week, she had 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 14-point home loss to Central Washington. Week of Dec. 10-16: Amber Hellberg, Northwest Nazarene (F, 5-11, Sr., Walla Walla, WA - DeSales) and Nicole Lynch, Humboldt State (C, 6-2, Fr., Danville, CA - Carondlet). . .Hellberg scored 35 points as the Crusaders divided a pair of games in Billings, defeating Rocky Mountain 77-62 before losing to Montana State - Billings 76-67. She shot 67 percent from the floor, making 14 of 21 shots. She also had 10 rebounds, two assists and three steals. . .Lynch converted on 17 of 26 shots and scored 37 points as the Lumberjacks also split a pair of road games, defeating Notre Dame de Namur 60-54 before losing to Dominican 82-74. Lynch had game-highs of 21 points and eight rebounds against Dominican and also led HSU with 16 points against Notre Dame. Week of Dec. 17-23: Jenn McGillivray, Western Washington (F, 6-0, So., Salem, OR - South Salem) scored 39 points in two games leading the Vikings to a pair of victories. McGillivray scored a career-high 25 points and had seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in a 16-point conference win over Northwest Nazarene and had 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in a 27-point non-conference win over Northwest College. In the two contests, she made 65 percent of her shots (13 of 20) and also converted on 13 of 16 foul shots, including 11 of 12 against NNU.

    Week of Dec. 24-30: Heather Laats, Western Oregon (P, 5-10, Sr., Beaverton, OR - Westview) and Bell Jordan, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, Sr., Stockton, CA – Lincoln) . . . Laats earned all-tournament honors in leading the Wolves to a pair of wins in their own invitational. She had 21 points and 21 rebounds in the two contests and shot 60.0 percent (9-15) from the floor. She also had three assists and five steals and claimed her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds in a six-point win over UC Davis. . .Jordan earned all-tournament honors in the Lynn, Fla. Invitational. In two games, she scored 41 points (16-31 FGs, 9-13 FTs) and also had 15 rebounds, including 12 in a 70-44 win over Mercy, N.Y. Week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6: Nicole Lynch, Humboldt State (C, 6-2, Fr., Danville, CA) and Kelley Berglund, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-3, Jr., Port Angeles). . .Lynch connected on 10 of 13 shots and scored 24 points as the Lumberjacks stunned Western Oregon 70-63, snapping the Wolves' nine-game winning streak. She also was credited with six rebounds, two assists and a steal. . . .Berglund, a transfer from Washington State, scored 47 points in two games, including a career-high 26 in a 13-point win over Western Washington. Berglund hit on 10 of 16 shots and had five offensive rebounds against the Vikings and made 10 of 15 shots and had seven rebounds and three steals in a eight-point win over Seattle. Week of Jan. 7-13: Kathy Kartikova, Saint Martin's (F, 6-0, Sr., Kosice, Slovakia - Elma) made a GNAC season-high seven three-point shots and scored 25 points to lead the Saints to a one-point double overtime road win at Nampa. Kartikova, who also had six rebounds, three assists and four steals, was seven of 12 from beyond the three-point line. Week of Jan. 14-20: Rose Shaw, Central Washington (C, 6-1, Sr., Bellevue, WA) and Jodie Kaczor, Western Washington (Guard, 5-5, Sr., Federal Way, WA). . .Shaw posted some guard-like numbers (13 steals) in a pair of wins. She had seven steals against Western Oregon and six against Humboldt State and also scored 41 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Shaw converted on 18 of 31 shots in the two contests. . .Kaczor scored 36 points in two games, including 22 in a three-point win over Saint Martin's as the Vikings maintained a one-game lead in the GNAC race. She made six of 14 three-point shots against the Saints and also had a career-high nine rebounds. In the two contests, she hit on 11 of 23 shots, including nine of 21 three-pointers, and also had 16 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Week of Jan. 21-27: Jessie DeLaunay, Seattle (G, 5-7, Sr., Seattle, WA - Blanchet) and Stacey Miller, Western Washington (F, 5-11, Jr., Bellingham, WA – Sehome). . .DeLaunay scored 34 points and hit for a 70.6 percentage (12 of 17) as Seattle, which won just four games last season, earned its 10th and 11th wins of the season. DeLaunay made eight of 12 three-point shots in wins over Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks, and also had six rebounds, three assists and six steals. . .Miller scored a career-high 25 points and also had five rebounds, three assists and four steals in an 18-point win over Alaska Anchorage. In two games, she scored 34 points, converting on 14 of 22 shots, including four of 10 three-pointers, and also had 11 rebounds, seven assists and five steals as the Vikings extended their winning streak to six.

    2001-02 CONTINUED Week of Jan. 28-Feb. 3: Kristin Poe, Seattle Pacific (Forward, 5-8, So., Enumclaw, WA) established a GNAC season-high by pulling down 22 rebounds in a 18-point win over Saint Martin's. Poe also had 17 points, three assists and four steals against the Saints and 13 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and five steals in a 15-point win over Northwest Nazarene. She finished the week with 30 points (12-27 FGs), 34 rebounds, five assists and nine steals. Week of Feb. 4-10: Angela Jensen, Central Washington (G, 5-7, Jr., Bellingham, WA - Sehome) and Alysson Kollmann, Northwest Nazarene (F, 5-10, Jr., Nampa, ID). . Jensen scored 30 points and had eight assists as the Wildcats extended their winning streak to a modern-day school record nine with a pair of victories. She hit on six of 11 shots and had 16 points and seven assists as CWU ended a 14-year winless drought at Sam Carver Gymnasium with a 13-point win over their arch-rivals Saturday. In her last three games, Jensen has scored 47 points to raise her scoring average to 6.3. CWU is unbeaten in the 11 games she has started this winter, including their first two contests of the season and their last nine.. . .Kollmann led the Crusaders to wins over Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks and, combined with Seattle University's losses to SPU and CWU, enabled NNU to earn the host role for the NAIA Regional playoffs. In the two contests, Kollmann scored 30 points, converting on 13 of 20 shots. She also had 10 rebounds, nine assists and 11 steals, including seven against UAA. She also made seven of nine shots against the Seawolves. Week of Feb. 11-17: Megan Quarterman, Western Washington (G, 5-9, Jr., Granite Falls, WA) and Kelley Berglund, Seattle Pacific (Center, 6-3, Jr., Port Angeles, WA). . .Quarterman scored 42 points as the Vikings won a pair of road games to remain in a first-place tie with Central Washington. She shot 64 percent (16 of 25) from the floor in the two contests. She also made three of four three-pointers and also had seven assists. After scoring just 28 points in her previous five games, Quarterman is averaging 21.3 in her last three and has made 22 of her last 36 shots, including four of five treys. . . Berglund scored 41 points and had 23 rebounds as the Falcons won a pair of games to improve to 19-5. Berglund had 21 points and seven rebounds in a 25-point win over Alaska Fairbanks and 20 points and 16 rebounds, her sixth double-double of the season, in an 11-point win over Alaska Anchorage. In the two contests, she shot 61.5 percent (16 of 26) from the floor and 88.9 percent (8 of 9) from the free throw line. Week of Feb. 18-24: Kerie Hughes, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-6, Jr., Mt. Vernon, WA) and Anna Allen-McGarrah, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-8, Sr., Moscow, ID). . .Hughes led the Falcons to two road victories, including a double overtime win at Western Oregon. In that contest, she had 22 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals and finished the two-game set with 37 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals. . .Allen-McGarrah scored 44 points and hit on eight of 15 three-point shots as the Crusaders won three games, all by margins of 20 or more points. In the championship game of the NAIA West Independent playoffs, she led NNU with 21 points (hitting on five of seven three-point shots) and also had six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Week of Feb. 25-Mar. 3: Julia Eisentrout, Saint Martin’s (F, 5-9, Fr., Olympia, WA) and Bell Jordan, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, Sr., Stockton, CA – Lincoln). . .Eisentrout scored 31 points as the Saints won a pair of games to finish with a winning season. Eisentrout hit on six of nine shots and scored 20 points in a 29-point win over Humboldt State. She then added 11 points and five rebounds in a 12-point win over Western Oregon. . .Jordan posted her 14th and 15th double-doubles of the season against Western Washington (32 points, 14 rebounds) and Seattle University (26 points, 11

She ended the season with the most double-doubles in the conference and accounted for three of the GNAC’s six 30-point games. 2002-03 Week of Nov. 19-25: Kelley Berglund, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-3, Sr., Port Angeles, WA) earned Most Valuable Player honors as she led the Falcons to the title in the sixth annual WWU Lynda Goodrich Women's basketball tournament. Berglund scored 35 points (15-25 shooting) and had 21 rebounds, seven assists and four steals. The tournament featured three teams nationally ranked in the WBCA's pre-season national poll including the Falcons, the host Vikings and North Dakota State. Week of Nov. 26-Dec. 1: Alysson Kollmann, Northwest Nazarene (F, 5-10, Sr., Nampa, ID) was selected the Most Valuable Player in the NNU Homecoming Classic. Kollmann scored 24 points and also had 15 rebounds, 11 assists and eight steals as the Crusaders beat Rocky Mountain and Lewis-Clark State to win the tourney title. Week of Dec. 2-8: Meggen Kautzky, Central Washington (G, 5-7, Sr., Richland, WA) scored 34 points, including 23 against Humboldt State, and also had seven assists, eight steals and seven rebounds to lead the Wildcats to road wins against Western Oregon and HSU. Kautzky connected on 11 of 19 shots, including five of 11 three-pointers. Week of Dec. 9-15: Nicole Lynch, Humboldt State (C, 6-2, So., Danville, CA) scored 46 points, including 28 in a 82-79 win over previously unbeaten Chico State. Lynch hit on 11 of 14 shots and also had 11 rebounds against the CCAA school. In two games, she converted on 68 percent of her shots (17 of 25) and had 19 rebounds. Week of Dec. 16-22: Darcey Hodges, Western Oregon (G, 5-7, Jr., The Dalles, OR) scored 42 points and also had eight steals to lead the Wolves to a pair of victories. Hodges made 13 of 19 shots, including seven of 11 three-point shots. She also shot 90 percent from the foul line (9 of 10). Week of Dec. 23-29: Michelle Beaumont, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-11, So., Bellingham - Sehome) and Martina Kartikova, Saint Martin's (F, 6-0, So., Kosice, Slovakia). . .Beaumont scored 41 points (12-20 FGs, 4-7 three-pointers, 13-14 FTs), including a GNAC single-game record 35 against Cal State L.A., as the Falcons remained unbeaten in 10 games with wins over the Golden Eagles and defending NCAA Division II national champion Cal Poly Pomona. . .Kartikova scored 26 points and also pulled down 13 rebounds in Saint Martin's seven-point road win over NCAA Division I Idaho. Week of Dec. 30-Jan. 5: Kamie Jo Massey, Alaska Anchorage (G, 5-9, Jr., Payson, UT) scored 42 points and also had 28 rebounds, 17 assists and 11 steals in a pair of wins over Oklahoma Panhandle State. She fell one assist short of a triple double (19 points, 15 rebounds, 9 assists) in a 80-55 win Saturday and also nearly had a triple-double (23 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists) in Friday's 77-53 victory.

    2002-03 CONTINUED Week of Jan. 6-12: Carli Smith, Seattle Pacific (F, 5-11, Fr., Spokane, WA - Valley Christian) and Susan Rodgers, Western Washington (C, 6-6, So., Gig Harbor, WA - Peninsula). . .Smith had a pair of double-doubles to lead second-ranked Seattle Pacific to its 12th and 13th consecutive victories. She had 17 points and 19 rebounds (the second highest rebound total in GNAC history) in a 20-point win over Northwest Nazarene, then followed it up with an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double in a 41-point win over Saint Martin's. In the two contests, she hit on 10 of 17 shots and also converted on eight of 10 free throws. . .Rodgers shot at a 75 percent clip (21 of 28) and scored a total of 48 points, including a career-high 28 in a 12-point home win over Western Oregon. She also had 10 rebounds and blocked seven shots. Week of Jan. 13-19: Nicole Lynch, Humboldt State (C, 6-2, So., Danville, CA - Carondlet) and Nicole Calderon, Western Oregon (F, 5-9, Jr., Alsea, OR). . .Lynch and Calderon led their respective teams to a pair of wins against Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage. Lynch, who leads the GNAC in scoring and ranks fifth in rebounding, had 41 points and 15 rebounds in a two-point win over UAF and an overtime victory over UAA. Calderon hit on 10 of 14 shots and scored 25 points and also had team-bests of 15 rebounds and three blocks in nine and 14-point victories over the Seawolves and Nanooks, respectively. She also was credited with seven assists and four steals. Week of Jan. 20-26: Kerie Hughes, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-6, Sr., Mt. Vernon, WA) led a balanced attack as the Falcons extended their regular-season winning streak to 22 with identical 78-62 road wins against Western Washington and Seattle University. Hughes, who hit on five of 10 three-point shots, had 29 points, 13 assists and eight steals in the two wins as SPU improved to 16-0 on the season. Week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2: Lisa Bocook, Saint Martin's (G, 5-4, Sr., Reardan, WA) led the defense with seven steals as the Saints allowed just 67 points and held Western Oregon and Humboldt State to a combined 23.9 field goal percentage (27 of 113). Bocook also scored 16 points and had a team-best 11 assists and eight rebounds in the two victories. Week of Feb. 3-9: Stacey Miller, Western Washington (F, 5-11, Sr., Bellingham, WA - Sehome) hit on eight of 11 three-pointers, including four of five in a 15-point road win at Humboldt State, and scored a total of 41 points (15-23 FG, 3-4 FTs) as the Vikings extended their winning streak to four with a pair of road victories. Week of Feb. 10-16: Jenn McGillivray, Western Washington (F, 5-11, Jr., Salem, OR) and Erica Matthews, Western Oregon (G, 5-7, Sr., Phoenix, AZ). . .McGillivray came off the bench to score 61 points and lead the Vikings to three victories as Western extended its winning streak to seven games. McGillivray connected on 25 of 35 shots and also had 20 rebounds, six assists and two steals in wins at UAA and UAF and at home against Northwest Nazarene. . .Matthews had team-best marks of 33 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists and hit at a 71.4 percent clip (10-14), including six of nine from the three-point line, in leading the Wolves to a pair of road wins at Fairbanks and Anchorage. Week of Feb. 17-23: Karissa Martin, Central Washington (G, 5-11, Sr., Chelan, WA - Eastmont) scored 34 points and also had 13 rebounds, six assists and six steals to lead the Wildcats to wins over Western Washington and Seattle University. Martin connected on 12 of 22 shots and nine of 11 free throws. The win over the Vikings was just CWU's second in 15 years over its archrival at Nicholson Pavilion.

    Week of Feb. 24-Mar. 2: Alysson Kollmann, Northwest Nazarene (F, 5-10, Sr., Nampa, ID) and Cody Burgess, Alaska Fairbanks (F, 5-10, Jr., Leavenworth, WA - Wenatchee Valley). . .Kollmann shot at a 68.2 percent clip (15 of 22) and scored 46 points as the Crusaders won a pair of road games to solidify their post-season hopes. Kollmann also had 13 rebounds, six assists and five steals. Burgess made 17 of 34 field goal attempts and 15 and 16 foul shots and finished with 49 points and 21 rebounds in a pair of 15-point losses to No. 1 ranked Seattle Pacific and Central Washington. She had a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double against the Falcons. Week of Mar. 3-9: Kelley Berglund, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-3, Sr., Port Angeles, WA) and Heidi Buehler, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-7, Jr., Tigard, OR - Umpqua). . .Berglund scored 32 points and also had 15 rebounds and four steals as the Falcons won a pair of games to finish the regular-season with a perfect 27-0 record. Berglund connected on 10 of 14 shots and 12 of 15 free throws. Buehler scored 34 points and also had 16 assists, nine rebounds and eight steals as the Crusaders nailed down a NCAA playoff berth with a pair of wins. Buehler hit on 12 of 23 shots, including four of seven three-pointers. 2003-04 Week of Nov. 17-23: Valerie Gustafson, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-0, Sr., Olympia, WA) scored 32 points, connecting on 15 of 23 shots, and also had 15 rebounds, five steals and four assists as the Falcons extended their regular-season winning streak to 35 games with a pair of victories in their own tournament. Gustafson was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Week of Nov. 24-30: Amber Nasby, Alaska Anchorage (F, 5-11, Jr., Kelowna, B.C.) scored a career-high 17 points and hit the game-winning jumper with 24 seconds left as the Seawolves defeated Clemson 61-58 in the championship game of the Great Alaska Shootout. In two tournament games, Nasby had 25 points and led UAA in rebounding with 20 and in steals with four. Week of Dec. 1-7: Valerie Gustafson, Seattle Pacific (F, 6-0, Sr., Olympia, WA – Black Hills) and Cecilia Chan, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-4, Sr., Toronto, ON – Campbell). . .Gustafson scored 54 points, including a career-high 29 points in a 17-point win over previously unbeaten Chico State. Gustafson, who had 25 points in a 10-point win over Central Washington, connected on 21 of 37 shots and also had 15 rebounds and four steals in the two contests. . .Chan keyed the Nanooks' sweep of Western Oregon and Humboldt State, connecting on 10 of 19 three-point shots. She scored 38 points and also had seven rebounds, five assists and four steals as the Nanooks posted 20 and 18-point wins. Week of Dec. 8-14: Ashley Payne, Seattle (F, 5-8, Fr., Port Angeles, WA) scored a season-high 24 points, connecting on six of eight three-pointers, in the Redhawks' 26-point home win over Linfield. Payne's six treys were just one off both the SU school and GNAC single-game records. Week of Dec. 15-21: Kelly Colard, Western Washington (G, 5-10, Jr., Elma, WA) led the Vikings to three wins in four games, including two over West Region opponents Montana State-Billings and Cal State L.A. Colard scored 55 points in the four contests, connecting on 20 of 30 field goals and eight of 16 three-pointers. She also had 14 rebounds, 13 assists and 15 steals. Colard had 30 points (10-14 FGs, 5-8 three-pointers), six assists and five steals in the GNAC/CCAA Challenge to earn all-tournament honors.

    2003-04 CONTINUED Week of Dec. 29-Jan. 4: Heidi Buehler, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-7, Sr., Tigard, OR) scored 42 points in a pair of games and set a GNAC single-game record with 14 assists in a 82-62 home win against Albertson. In the two contests, including a five-point loss to NCAA Division I opponent Utah Valley State, Buehler connected on seven of 15 three-point shots and also had eight rebounds and seven steals. Week of Jan. 5-11: Jenny Binford, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-9, Sr., Greenleaf, ID) and Kristin Poe, Seattle Pacific (F, 5-8, Sr., Enumclaw). . .Binford scored 49 points, connecting on 60.7 percent (17 of 28) of her shots as the Crusaders swept past Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks. Binford, who had a career-high 31 points against the Nanooks, converted on nine of 13 three-point shots and also had nine rebounds. Poe scored 32 points and also had 15 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals in wins over Western Washington and Seattle as the Falcons extended their regular-season win streak to 45 and their conference streak to 27. Poe equaled her career-high with 23 points against the Vikings, despite missing the final three minutes with a slight knee injury. Week of Jan. 12-18: Beth Layton, Saint Martin's (G, 5-6, So., Toledo, WA), scored 41 points, including 27 in a 26-point win at Western Oregon, as the Saints ran their winning streak to four with a pair of road victories at Monmouth and against Humboldt State at Arcata. Layton connected on 14 of 27 shots, including eight of 16 three-pointers. She also led the Saints with nine assists and had just three turnovers. Week of Jan. 19-25: Kamie Jo Massey, Alaska Anchorage (F, 5-10, Sr., Payson, UT) and Laura Wright, Central Washington (C, 6-3, Fr., Longview, WA – Mark Morris). . .Massey had a career-high 27 points and also contributed 11 rebounds and five assists as the Seawolves snapped Western Washington's 13-game home win streak and snapped their own five-game road losing streak. In two games, including an overtime loss to Seattle, Massey had 39 points, 23 rebounds, eight assists and five steals. . .Wright had 46 points (15-32 FGs, 16-17 FTs), 20 rebounds, eight blocked shots, five steals and four assists as the Wildcats posted a pair of double digit home victories. The CWU freshman, who has had four double-doubles this season, recorded her fifth and sixth 20-point games with 21 against Western Oregon and 25 against Humboldt State. Week of Jan. 26-Feb. 1: Brittney Kroon, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-4, So., Wasilla, AK) and Jodi Gerald, Western Washington (F, 5-10, Jr., Puyallup, WA – Cascade Christian) . . .Kroon scored 28 points and also had 16 rebounds and 18 blocked shots as the Falcons finished the first-half of the conference season unbeaten, extending their regular-season win streak to 51 and their conference streak to 33, with road wins at Northwest Nazarene and Saint Martin's. She had 13 blocks against NNU, which is the best single-game mark this winter among NCAA Division II players and ranks sixth all-time since 1993 when the NCAA started keeping track of the statistic. . .Gerald scored 40 points and also had 19 rebounds and six steals as the Vikings, playing with just eight women because of a pair of season-ending injuries, earned double-digit road wins at Arcata and Monmouth. Gerald hit on 15 of 22 shots, including five of eight three-pointers and also was perfect in five attempts from the foul line. Week of Feb. 2-8: Kamie Jo Massey, Alaska Anchorage (F, 5-10, Sr., Payson, UT) and Adrienne Taalak, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-6, Jr., Nuiqsut, AK – Mt. Edgecumbe). . .Massey set a GNAC single-game scoring record, tallying 38 points as the Seawolves defeated Northwest Nazarene for their fourth win in their last six starts. Massey, who scored UAA's first 17 and final eight points, broke the old GNAC record of 35 set by Seattle Pacific's Michelle Beaumont against Cal State LA on Dec. 28, 2002. Her point total

    was the third highest in UAA history. She also had 12 rebounds to record her seventh double-double of the season and the 21st of her career. In two games, including a six-point loss to Saint Martin's, Massey had 49 points, connecting on 18 of 33 shots. She also had 34 rebounds, eight assists and four blocks. . .Taalak scored 47 points in two games, including 30 in a six-point loss to Northwest Nazarene. She had 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals on Saturday as the Nanooks beat regionally ninth-ranked Saint Martin's to end an 11-game losing streak. Week of Feb. 9-15: Nicole Lynch, Humboldt State (C, 6-2, Jr., Danville, CA - Carondlet) and Lindsay Weiss, Central Washington (F, 5-9, Sr., Goldendale, WA – Spokane Falls). . .Lynch led the Lumberjacks, who snapped a 15-game losing streak with a seven-point win over regionally ranked Saint Martin's before losing by one point at Northwest Nazarene, with 53 points, connecting on 18 of 34 shots. She also made 17 of 19 free throws and had 11 rebounds and seven assists. . .Weiss had 37 points, 17 rebounds including 11 at the offensive end, 10 assists and five steals as the Wildcats kept their post-season hopes alive with a 14-point win over Alaska Fairbanks and a five-point overtime win over Alaska Anchorage. Weiss, who had eight offensive rebounds against the Seasiders, hit a three-pointer with three seconds left in regulation to force the overtime, then scored a basket with 24 seconds remaining to give the Wildcats a four-point lead in the extra period. She connected on six of 10 three-pointers in the two contests. Week of Feb. 16-22: Adrienne Taalak, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-6, Jr., Nuiqsut, AK) produced the second and third highest scoring games in GNAC history, tallying 36 points in an eight-point over Seattle and 37 in a four-point upset of regionally fourth-ranked Western Washington. In the two games, Taalak, who has four 30-point games this winter, scored 73 points (half of UAF's total), connecting on 26 of 37 shots, including 11 of 19 three-pointers. She made all 10 of her foul shots and also had 11 rebounds and nine steals. Week of Feb. 23-29: Leah Welton, Seattle University (F, 5-11, Sr., Yakima, WA – Davis) and Valerie Gustafson, Seattle Pacific (F, 6-0, Sr., Olympia, WA – Black Hills). . .Welton scored 38 points, connecting on 13 of 24 shots including 10 of 18 three-pointers as the Redhawks snapped a five-game losing streak with home wins over Humboldt State and Western Oregon. . .Gustafson missed only seven shots (13-20 FGs, 7-7 FTs) and scored 33 points in leading the Falcons to their 25th and 26th wins of the season as SPU moved to within one victory of their second consecutive unbeaten regular-season. Gustafson also had 12 rebounds and seven assists. Week of Mar. 1-7: Kamie Jo Massey, Alaska Anchorage (F, 5-10, Sr., Payson, UT) scored 46 points and had 30 rebounds as the Seawolves finished their season with a four-game win streak. Massey also had seven assists and eight steals in wins at Western Oregon and Humboldt State. Week of Mar. 8-14: Amy Taylor, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-8, Jr., Shoreline, WA) scored 40 points and had 25 assists and just two turnovers to lead the Falcons to the NCAA West Regional title and a berth in the Elite Eight against Drury, Mo. Taylor had 21 points and 10 assists in the title game, producing her first double-double of the season.

    2004-05 Week of Nov. 15-21: Mandy Wood, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-6, Jr., Port Angeles, WA) scored 30 points and also had eight rebounds, eight assists and four steals to earn MVP honors in the Sodexho Tip-Off Classic at Brougham Pavilion as the Falcons extended their regular-season unbeaten streak to 62 games. Wood connected on 10 of 22 shots, including six of 14 from the arc. She led SPU in the tournament in points and assists and ranked second in steals. Week of Nov. 22-28: Tina Donahue, Western Washington (F, 6-0, Jr., Stanwood, WA) and Beth Layton, Saint Martin's (G, 5-6, Jr., Toledo, WA – UT-San Antonio). . .Donahue scored 48 points, including 31 in a 25-point win over Warner Pacific, to earn MVP honors in the Lynda Goodrich Thanksgiving Classic. She led the Vikings in scoring and rebounding (18) and tied two other players in assists (6). She also made 21 of 22 free throws, including all 16 against Warner to set school and GNAC records for most free throws made without a miss. Donahue, who made her last 21 attempts, also set a GNAC single-game record for most free throws made and tied the GNAC record for most free throws attempted. . .Layton scored 44 points and also led the Saints with 19 assists and six steals leading her team to 35 and 36-point victories in the Goodrich Classic. Week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5: Cody Burgess, Alaska Fairbanks (F-C, 5-10, Sr., Leavenworth, WA – Cascade) and Beth Layton, Saint Martin's (G, 5-6, Jr., Toledo, WA – Texas-San Antonio). . .Burgess produced the second best two-game point total in GNAC history in losses to Central Washington and Seattle Pacific. She netted 65 points in the two games, converting on 23 of 45 shots and 19 of 22 free throws. She also had 20 rebounds and three steals. Burgess' 37 points at Ellensburg equaled the second highest single-game total in GNAC history. . . Layton scored 53 points and also had 11 assists, nine rebounds and seven steals as the Saints ran their win streak to six, including five this season. Layton had 33 points against Humboldt State, including 24 on three-pointers (eight of 12). Week of Dec. 6-12: Nicole Lynch, Humboldt State (C, 6-2, Sr., Danville, CA - Carondolet) scored 52 points to earn all-tournament honors in the North Coast Inn Classic at Arcata. Lynch made 23 of 34 field goals and also had 16 rebounds and six assists as the Lumberjacks split a pair of games. She became HSU's all-time career scorer in Friday's game, surpassing Dawn Miner (1,290) and now ranks fourth on the GNAC career scoring list with 1,320 points. Week of Dec. 13-19: Amy Taylor, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-8, Sr., Shoreline, WA) and Laina Sobczak, Seattle (F, 5-11, Fr., Tacoma, WA – Curtis). . .Taylor scored 11 of her 18 points in the second half as the Falcons rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to beat previously unbeaten Chico State. Taylor, who also had four assists and two steals, hit a key three-pointer for an 86-80 cushion with 81 seconds remaining. . .Sobczak, who had played in only two previous games because of an injury, scored 29 points and had 18 rebounds as the Redhawks earned a split in a tournament at Cal State San Bernardino. Week of Dec. 27-Jan. 2: Amy Taylor, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-8, Sr., Shoreline, WA - Oregon) earned MVP honors, leading the Falcons to wins over Cal State L.A. and Cal Poly Pomona in the CCAA/GNAC Challenge at Royal Brougham. Taylor had 36 points, 15 assists and six steals, including 19 points, nine assists and three steals in a 25-point win over nationally 12th ranked Cal Poly Pomona.

    Week of Jan. 3-9: Julia Eisentrout, Saint Martin's (G, 5-10, Sr., Olympia, WA) and Devin Dykstra, Western Washington (G, 5-6, So., Sumas, WA – Nooksack Valley). . .Eisentrout scored 38 points (13-25 FG, 11-11 FTs) in leading the Saints to road wins at Montana State-Billings and Northwest Nazarene, joining the career 1,000 point club in the process. The nine-point win at Billings snapped the Yellowjackets' 16-game home win streak dating back to Nov. 18, 2003. She then led the Saints with 21 points in a two-point win at Northwest Nazarene becoming the 17th player in GNAC history (and the second Saint) to reach the 1,000-point mark. She currently ranks 16th with 1,013 points. Eisentrout connected on seven of 11 shots and was perfect in seven free throw attempts against the Crusaders. . .Dykstra scored 34 points and had a couple of key three-pointers in come-from-behind wins against Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage. Dykstra, who made her first career start Saturday at Anchorage, connected on seven of 11 shots, including four of five treys, and also hit on 16 of 20 foul shots in the two contests. She hit a three-pointer with 2:03 left in overtime to briefly tie the game at 73-73 as the Vikings rallied from a 73-68 deficit to beat UAF 78-74. Against UAA, her three-pointer with 1:57 left put WWU ahead 58-55 and was her team's final field goal in a 61-59 win over the Seawolves. Week of Jan. 10-16: Adrienne Taalak, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-6, Sr., Nuiqsut, AK) and Mandy Wood, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-6, Jr., Port Angeles, WA). . .Taalak scored 32 points (9-21 FGs, 4-10 threes) and also had six rebounds, two assists and a game-high three steals to lead the Nanooks to a 83-50 win over Alaska Anchorage. Wood scored 41 points as the Falcons won their 47th and 48th consecutive conference games dating back to the 2001-02 season. She made 15 of 23 shots, including six of 11 from the three-point line. Week of Jan. 17-23: Adrienne Taalak, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-6, Sr., Nuiqsut, AK) and Cody Burgess, Alaska Fairbanks (F, 5-10, Sr., Leavenworth, WA – Cascade) combined for 85 points in leading the Nanooks to their first road sweep in the four-year history of the conference. Taalak scored 44 points and also had 12 rebounds, six assists and five steals in wins over Humboldt State and Western Oregon. She made 15 of 26 shots, nine of 17 from beyond the three-point line. Burgess, who is the GNAC's career scoring leader based on points per game (19.2) scored 41 points (13-24 FG, 14-18 FTs) and had 13 rebounds, five assists and four steals as the Nanooks extended their win streak to four and pulled into a tie for fourth in the conference with CWU. Week of Jan. 24-30: Julia Eisentrout, Saint Martin's (G, 5-10, Sr., Olympia, WA) had two big second halves to lead the Saints to a pair of road wins in Alaska. Eisentrout finished the trip with 48 points (15-26 FGs, 3-4 three-pointers, 14-16 FTs), 11 rebounds, six assists and four steals. On Saturday she scored 20 of her 29 points in a 12-point win over Alaska Anchorage in the second period as the Saints rallied from a five-point halftime deficit. On Thursday, she had 13 of her 18 points after intermission, including two on a go-ahead jumper with 2:39 left in a three-point win over Alaska Fairbanks. Week of Jan. 31-Feb. 6: Tina Donahue, Western Washington (F, 6-0, Jr., Stanwood, WA) scored 35 points, including 22 in a 13-point home win over Alaska Fairbanks. Donahue also had 14 rebounds, five assists and four steals as the regionally second-ranked Vikings improved to 18-2.

    2004-05 CONTINUED Week of Feb. 7-13: Kelly Fay, Humboldt State (F, 5-9, Jr., Ventura, CA – Ventura JC) and Martina Kartikova, Saint Martin's (F, 6-0, Sr., Kosice, Slovakia). . .Fay scored 34 points and also had team-highs of 17 rebounds and eight steals as the Lumberjacks swept Seattle and Western Washington, getting their first-win ever in 19 tries against the Vikings. Fay made 60 percent of her shots (12-20), including six of 12 three-pointers. . .Kartikova had 27 points and team-highs in rebounding (23) and assists (10) and also contributed to an outstanding defense effort as the Saints held Seattle Pacific and Central Washington to a 26.6 shooting percentage (33-124). She also had two double-doubles increasing her total to a GNAC-leading eight in the Saints' sweep. Week of Feb. 14-20: Jenna Washington, Humboldt State (F, 5-11, Jr., Springfield, OR) scored 43 points (15-28 FGs, 13-14 FTs) and had 36 rebounds as the Lumberjacks completed their first-ever GNAC road sweep and ran their winning streak to four with wins at Anchorage and Fairbanks. Washington had 22 points and equaled the GNAC single-game record with 22 rebounds in Thursday's 16-point win over Alaska Anchorage. She then netted 21 points and 14 rebounds and hit the game-winning shot with two seconds remaining in a one-point win over Alaska Fairbanks. Week of Feb. 21-27: Carli Smith, Seattle Pacific (F, 5-11, Jr., Spokane, WA – Valley Christian) and Jodi Gerald, Western Washington (F, 5-10, Sr., Puyallup, WA – Cascade Christian). . .Smith scored 28 points (on 13 of 22 shooting) and also pulled down 28 rebounds coincidentally increasing her career totals to 716 in each category as the Falcons clinched the GNAC's automatic berth in the West Region playoffs. She equaled the GNAC single-game record with 22 rebounds in Saturday's 15-point win over Western Washington (originally set by SPU's Kristin Poe in 2002 and equaled a week ago by Humboldt State's Jenna Washington). . .Gerald scored 54 points as the Vikings swamped Central Washington by 33 points at Ellensburg before losing to the Falcons at Brougham. She was 12 of 15 on three-point shots, making a GNAC-record nine straight (including all six against CWU) at one point. Gerald also had 18 rebounds in the two contests. Week of Feb. 28-Mar. 6: Hanna Hull, Central Washington (W, 5-9, Fr., Pateros, WA) scored 34 points, including 32 in a three-point come-from-behind win at Fairbanks. Hull, who made 12 of 19 shots including five of nine three-pointers, helped rally the Wildcats back from a 16-point second-half deficit, scoring 28 of CWU's 46 points after the intermission. Week of Mar. 7-14: Mandy Wood, Seattle Pacific (Guard, 5-6, Jr., Port Angeles, CA) was selected the Most Valuable Player as she led the Falcons to their second consecutive NCAA West Region championship. Wood finished the tournament with 44 points, 18 assists and 10 steals. 2005-06 Week of Nov. 14-20: Rebecca Kielpinski, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, Fr., Mandan, ND), who was last year's North Dakota Miss Basketball, scored 45 points, shooting 77.3 percent from the floor (17 of 22) and also had 25 rebounds, seven assists and seven blocks as the Seawolves completed a season-opening two-game sweep of San Diego Christian. She had 18 points, connecting on six of seven field goals and six of seven free throws, and nine rebounds in Wednesday's 72-64 win. She followed that up with a 27-point (11-15 FGs), 16-rebound, six-assist, five-block effort in Thursday's 78-49 victory. Week of Nov. 21-27: Beth Layton, Saint Martin's (G, 5-6, Sr., Toledo, WA) scored 48 points and also had 12 rebounds, five assists and seven steals to earn Most Valuable Player honors in the Lynda Goodrich Thanksgiving Classic at Bellingham. Layton, who played in every minute in the two

    contests, connected on 17 of 40 shots, including six of 15 three-pointers, in leading the Saints to wins over Grand Canyon and Northwest. Week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4: Cristina Bruketta, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-8, Fr., Ellensburg, WA - Kittitas) scored 51 points in three games leading the Nanooks to a pair of West Region victories on a three-game road trip to California and Arizona. Bruketta made 18 of 39 field goals, including 12 of 22 three-pointers, and also had nine rebounds, three assists and five steals as the Nanooks snapped a four-game losing streak with a pair of wins at Grand Canyon. Week of Dec. 5-11: Mollie Stelmack, Western Washington (G, 5-11, Jr., New Westminster, BC) scored 34 points and also had 12 rebounds and 10 assists to earn MVP honors in the GNAC/CCAA Challenge at Bellingham. Stelmack, a transfer from Franklin Pierce, had 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven assist as the Vikings knocked off previously unbeaten Chico State 94-81 after the Wildcats had beat Seattle Pacific in overtime. She also had 16 points, connecting on six of eight shots, in just 18 minutes in WWU's 33-point win over Sonoma State. Week of Dec. 12-18: Tina Donahue, Western Washington (F, 6-0, Sr., Stanwood, WA) scored 28 points, including 24 in the first half when the Vikings opened up a 48-21 lead, in a 32-point win over Central Washington at Key Arena Saturday. Donahue, who played just 28 minutes, also led WWU with six assists as the Vikings improved to 6-0. She currently leads Western in scoring at 17.0 points per game. She also is averaging 5.5 rebounds, shooting 50.7 percent (34 of 67) from the field and 82.4 percent (28 of 34) at the free throw line. Week of Dec. 19-25: Jessica Metz, Northwest Nazarene (F, 5-10, Sr., Coeur d'Alene, ID – Lake City) scored 31 points and also had 14 rebounds, seven assists and eight steals to lead the Crusaders to a two-game sweep of Adams State. Metz missed her first free throw attempt in Monday's win, snapping a two-season string of 26 consecutive free throws. Week of Dec. 26-Jan. 1: Katie Wilder, Humboldt State (G, 5-7, Jr., Clearlake, CA – Santa Rosa JC) and Kelly Dykstra, Western Washington (G, 5-10, Sr., Elma, WA – Whatcom CC) . . .Wilder scored 35 points and also had 11 assists to lead the Lumberjacks to eight and three-point road wins at Anchorage and Fairbanks, respectively. She had 19 points and nine assists and hit a pair of free throws with seven seconds remaining to stretch a one-point lead to three against Alaska Fairbanks. . . Dykstra hit on eight of 12 shots and scored 19 points to lead Western Washington to a 11-point win over Seattle Pacific. In two games, including a 21-point win over Northwest Nazarene, Dykstra had 29 points (12-20 FGs, 5-11 three-pointers), 11 rebounds, six assists and four steals. She hit her first five shots helping the Vikings jump to an early 25-9 lead against SPU. Week of Jan. 2-8: Jenna Washington, Humboldt State (F, 5-11, Sr., Springfield, OR – Portland State) scored 50 points, connecting on 20 of 27 field goal attempts and all 10 of her free throws, as the Lumberjacks divided a pair of games, defeating Central Washington 87-74 and losing by just two points (82-80) to Western Washington. Washington also had 18 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and two steals in the two contests.

She converted on 20 of 27 shots, including both of her two-point attempts. Golob had 32 points and 21 rebounds as the Saints snapped a four-game losing streak with home wins over Western Oregon and Humboldt State. She missed just two shots (10-12 FGs, 11-11 FTs) in the two contests and also had three assists and three blocks. Week of Jan. 16-22: Beth Layton, Saint Martin's (G, 5-6, Sr., Toledo, WA – UT-San Antonio) scored 62 points (20-54 FGs, 8-20 three-pointers, 14-15 FTs) to lead the Saints to a sweep of Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks. She had a GNAC season-high 33 points in a 12-point win at Fairbanks and had 29, including SMU's final eight points, in a one-point win over UAA. Layton, who also had nine rebounds, six assists and four steals, snapped a 61-61 tie against UAA with a free throw with one second remaining. Week of Jan. 23-29: Mandy Wood, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-6, Sr., Port Angeles, WA) scored 40 points and also had nine assists and five steals as the Falcons extended their win streak to seven with victories over Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska Anchorage. Wood hit on 17 of 32 shots, including four of 10 three-pointers. She currently ranks 14 th in GNAC history in career scoring (1,142), fourth in three-pointers (193), ninth in assists (338) and 10 th in steals (158). Week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5: Kara Gonzalez, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-7, Sr., Grandview) scored 33 points, including the game-winning basket with nine seconds left in a 69-67 win at Saint Martin's, to lead the Crusaders to a pair of road victories. Gonzalez had 18 points against the Saints and 15 in a 65-57 win over Seattle University. In the two contests, she made 13 of 25 shots and also had seven rebounds and four steals. Week of Feb. 6-12: Rebecca Kielpinski, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, Fr., Mandan, N.D.) broke her own UAA freshman record with 31 points and also had eight assists and five rebounds in a 70-64 win over Central Washington. She also added 24 points against Western Washington as the Seawolves took a one-point halftime lead before falling to the nationally eighth-ranked Vikings. On the weekend, she converted 24 of 37 shots and also had 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Brown equaled a career high with 21 points in a six-point win over Alaska Fairbanks as the Redhawks improved to 13-10, clinching their first .500 season in eight years. Week of Feb. 20-26: Mandy Wood, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-6, Sr., Port Angeles, WA) connected on 11 of 19 three-point shots and scored 43 points to lead the Falcons to a pair of 30-point wins in Alaska. She made five of 10 treys and scored 21 in 67-34 win over Alaska Anchorage, then followed that up with a six-of-nine three-point effort and 22 points in a 86-56 win over Alaska Fairbanks. Week of Feb. 27-Mar. 5: Courtney Clapp, Western Washington (C, 5-11, Sr. Kirkland, WA – Juanita) and Jenna Washington, Humboldt State (F, 5-11, Sr., Springfield, OR – Portland State). . . Clapp scored 25 points against

    Seattle Pacific and had 38 points and 10 rebounds as Vikings extended their winning streak to a school record 20 and earned the host role in the regional playoffs with a pair of wins. . .Washington had 45 points (20-38), 20 rebounds, six assists, 10 steals and four blocks as the Lumberjacks nailed down their first playoff appearance in more than a decade with two home wins. Week of Mar. 6-12: Brittney Kroon, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-4, Sr., Wasilla, AK) scored 41 points, including 20 in a 70-50 semifinal win over top-seeded Western Washington, to earn all-tournament honors in leading the Falcons to a second-place finish in the West Regionals. Kroon also had 24 rebounds, five steals and four blocked shots. 2006-07 Week of Nov. 20-26: Danielle Dwello, Northwest Nazarene (F, 6-0, Sr., Nampa, ID – Nampa Christian) and Rebecca Kielpinski, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, So., Mandan, ND). . .Dwello scored 41 points and also had 13 rebounds, three blocks and six steals in leading the Crusaders to the team title in the NNU Homecoming Classic. Dwello, who made 15 of 21 shots in NNU's two victories, scored 16 points and also had 10 rebounds in a six-point win over previously unbeaten and Northern Sun pre-season favorite Northern State. . .Kielpinski earned MVP honors in the Great Alaska Shootout, netting 34 points in wins over Air Force and UC Riverside. She also had 25 rebounds and four blocks as the Seawolves won the tournament championship for the third time. They also won in 1990 and 2003. Week of Nov. 27-Dec. 3: Ashley Brown, Seattle (G, 5-4, Sr., Beaverton, OR) helped spark the Redhawks' offense and defense in wins over Western State and Grand Canyon in the Dave Cox Classic. Offensively, she hit nine of 17 shots, scored 18 points and also had 10 rebounds and a team-best 10 assists. Defensively, she had three steals and played a key role as SU held its opponents to a 28.6 shooting percentage, including two of 29 on three-pointers. SU set a conference defensive record by holding Grand Canyon to zero three-pointers in 14 attempts in Saturday's 16-point win. The previous record for most three-point attempts without allowing a goal was 12 by Seattle Pacific against Kentucky Wesleyan in 2001. Week of Dec. 4-10: Mollie Stelmack, Western Washington (G, 5-11, Sr., New Westminster, BC) scored 47 points and shot at a 62.1 clip (18 of 29) in leading the Vikings to two wins in the GNAC/CCAA Challenge at Rohnert Park. Stelmack, who made eight of 13 three-pointers and also had seven rebounds, seven steals and nine assists, was named the tournament MVP. All seven of her steals came in Friday's 15-point win over Cal State Stanislaus, equaling the ninth highest single-game total in GNAC history. In three games including Tuesday's 100-48 win over Northwest, she had 67 points, 17 assists and 10 steals.

    2006-07 CONTINUED Week of Dec. 11-17: Laina Sobczak, Seattle University (F, 5-11, Jr., University Place, WA – Curtis) and Rebecca Kielpinski, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, So., Mandan, N.D.). . .Sobczak scored 31 points and also had 12 rebounds to lead the Redhawks to region road wins over San Francisco State and Cal State Monterey Bay. In a seven-point win over SFSU, she had 19 points, seven rebounds (five offensive), two assists, two steals and a blocked shot. She scored 12 points, grabbed five rebounds, earned two steals and blocked two shots in a 21-point win over the Otters. Her defensive effort helped the Redhawks hold CSUMB to 15.2 percent field goal shooting (5-of-33) in the second half. She currently leads Seattle in scoring (11.6) and total rebounds (42) and is shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 100 percent (13-13) from the free throw line. . . Kielpinski had 15 points, 12 rebounds and a school-record eight blocked shots to lead UAA to a eight-point win over Southwest Minnesota State as the Seawolves remained unbeaten in 10 games. Kielpinski's block total equals the fifth highest single-game total in GNAC history. She scored the first seven points of a 13-0 run as UAA broke a 32-32 tie early in the second half. Week of Dec. 18-24: Autumn Fielding, Seattle Pacific (F, 5-9, Sr., Kennewick, WA – Idaho) led the Falcons to wins over UC San Diego and Cal Poly Pomona, scoring 32 points in the Great Western Shootout in Las Vegas. Fielding made nine of 16 shots, including five of eight treys, in earning all-tournament honors. She also had eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. She scored team-best 15 points in 10-point win over UC San Diego, then added 17 in 17-point win over Cal Poly Pomona. Fifteen of her points against the Broncos came in the second half, including eight in a 16-1 run late in the contest. Week of Jan. 1-7: Liz McCarrell, Western Washington (F, 5-11, Jr., Ferndale, WA) and Janee Olds, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-7, Fr., Coos Bay, OR – North Bend). . .McCarrell scored 33 points and also had nine assists and seven rebounds as the Vikings extended their conference game win streak to 21 with a pair of double-digit victories. McCarrell made 14 of 20 shots, including nine of 11 in a 20-point effort in Thursday's road win against Saint Martin's. . .Olds had game-highs of 14 points (on six of nine shooting) and six assists as the Crusaders ended Alaska Anchorage's 12-game win streak. In three games, including a pair of contests with Dixie State, she netted 32 points and also had 14 assists, 11 rebounds and five steals. Week of Dec. 25-31 and Jan. 8-14: Rebecca Kielpinski, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, So., Mandan, N.D.) For the week of Dec. 25-31, Kielpinski scored 21 points and had 11 rebounds in a 25-point win over Notre Dame de Namur to record her 20th career double-double as the Seawolves completed the non-conference portion of their schedule unbeaten for the first team in school history. Kielpinski made 10 of 16 shots and also had three assists and three blocks. For the week of Jan. 8-14, she scored 36 points and also had 20 rebounds, six blocks and three assists to lead the Seawolves to a home sweep of Seattle and Western Washington, snapping the Vikings' 22-game conference winning streak. Kielpinski, who made 13 of 23 shots and 10 of 14 free throws, earned the award for the fourth team this season and the sixth time in her career, equaling the GNAC record for women's basketball. Nicole Lynch of Humboldt State won six Player-of-the-Week awards between 2001 and 2005. Week of Nov. 13-19 and Jan. 15-21: Leada Berkey, Western Oregon (W, 5-8, Jr., Amity, OR) scored 63 points and also had 32 rebounds in the Week of Nov. 13-19 as the Wolves won one of three games, snapping a 33-game losing streak with their win over Cascade. Berkey had 38 points in the win over Cascade, matching the second-highest single-game total in GNAC history. . . .In the Week of Jan. 15-21, she scored 34 points and also had nine rebounds and four assists as the Wolves snapped a 27-game

    conference losing streak upsetting Western Washington 84-77 at Monmouth. Berkey made 11 of 19 shots, including four of six treys, as she tied a GNAC single-season record with her fifth 30-point game this season. Week of Jan. 22-28: Caitlyn Rohrbach, Alaska Fairbanks (F, 6-0, Fr., Edmonds, WA – Meadowdale) scored 30 points on 13 of 22 shooting and also had 20 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals as the Nanooks snapped an eight-game conference losing streak dating back to last February with a pair of narrow wins over Northwest Nazarene and Alaska Anchorage. She had a double-double (18 points, 12 rebounds), which featured a put back basket with 10 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, in their 86-83 win over the Seawolves. Week of Jan. 29-Feb. 4: Kelsey Hill, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-2, So., Portland, OR – Portland Christian) and Maria Nilsson, Alaska Anchorage (G-F, 6-0, Jr., Skovde, Sweden). . .Hill scored 38 points as the Falcons protected their conference lead with two wins at Brougham Pavilion. Hill, who had eight of her career-high 21 points in the final 11 minutes in Saturday's nine-point win against Seattle, made 15 of 23 shots and also had 16 rebounds, five assists and three steals. . .Nilsson had 42 points all from the three-point line where she converted on 14 of 27 as the Seawolves stayed unbeaten at home (12-0) with victories over Western Oregon and Saint Martin's. She had eight treys to tie a GNAC single-game record Saturday against the Saints. Nilsson also had 12 rebounds in the two contests. Week of Feb. 5-11: Jayci Stone, Alaska Anchorage (F, 5-10, Sr., Goodland, KS – Colby CC & New Mexico State) and Laura Wright, Central Washington (C, 6-3, Sr., Longview, WA – Mark Morris). . .Stone scored 26 points, had 21 rebounds and helped lead a Seawolf defense that held regionally-ranked Western Washington and Seattle University to a 25.0 percent field goal percentage in 16 and nine-point road victories, their first two conference road victories after four previous losses. Stone made seven of 20 three-pointers and also had four assists and didn't commit a turnovers, playing 79 of 80 minutes. . .Wright missed just one field goal attempt (7-8) and one free throw (5-6) and had 19 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks as the Wildcats snapped a 10-game losing streak to conference leader Seattle Pacific, beating the Falcons for the first time in five seasons. Week of Feb. 12-18: Kristin Hein, Northwest Nazarene (P, 5-11, Fr., Tualatin, OR) led the Crusaders to a pair of wins over regionally-ranked teams, scoring 33 points and pulling down 19 rebounds. She had a 21-point, 13-rebound double-double in Thursday's 70-56 win over Seattle, then had 12 points and six rebounds as the Crusaders knocked Western Washington out of first-place with a 64-58 victory. Both her point and rebound total in Thursday's win were career highs. NNU has won two straight and four of its last five to move into fourth-place just a game and a half behind leader Seattle Pacific. Week of Feb. 19-25: Jackie Hollands, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-9, Jr., Oregon City, OR) scored 41 points to lead the Falcons to wins over Western Oregon and Western Washington as SPU completed its home schedule with a 13-1 record, including 8-0 in the conference. Hollands missed just three shots, all from beyond the arc, as she converted on 14 of 17, nine of 12 from the three-point area. She also had eight steals, five rebounds and five assists. The two victories moved Seattle Pacific close to its fourth Great Northwest Athletic Conference title in the past five seasons. SPU needs either one win or one loss by UAA to clinch no worse than a share of the title.

She had 19 points and 10 rebounds in Friday's nine-point win over Sonoma State and 16 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday's 15-point semifinal loss to Chico State. Hill made 16 of 27 shots in the two contests. 2007-08 Week of Nov. 12-18: Jackie Hollands, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-9, Sr., Oregon City, OR) and Hanna Hull, Central Washington (W, 5-9, Sr., Pateros, WA). . .Hollands and Hull led their respective teams to two wins each in the Sodexho Tip-Off Classic at Brougham Pavilion. . .Holland scored 34 points (11-25 FGs, 5-14 three-pointers) and had 12 rebounds, 11 assists and five steals to lead the defending GNAC champions. . .Hull scored 31 points, converting on six of 10 three-pointers, and also had seven rebounds, three assists and three steals as she increased her career point total to 909. Week of Nov. 19-25: Rebecca Kielpinski, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, Jr., Mandon, ND) scored 33 points, including 23 in the championship game, to lead the Seawolves to their second straight Great Alaska Shootout title. Her layup with four seconds left snapped a 50-50 tie against Santa Clara, capping off an 11-0 run in the final 6:23. Kielpinski, who made 13 of 26 shots, also had 19 rebounds (seven offensively) in earning Tournament MVP honors for the second year in a row. It is Kielpinski's seventh career Player-of-the-Week award, setting a GNAC record for women's basketball. Week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2: Jenn Jacobs, Central Washington (W, 5-9, Fr., Bremerton, WA) scored 49 points and hit for a 69.2 percentage (18 of 26) as the Wildcats won three games to remain unbeaten in six starts. Jacobs, who converted on six of 11 treys and seven of eight free throws, also had nine rebounds and three assists and was charged with just one turnover. Week of Dec. 3-9: Beth Christensen, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-5, Sr., Enumclaw, WA) was named the Most Valuable Player in the GNAC/CCAA Challenge at Brougham Pavilion. Christensen only scored six points, but had 15 assists and five rebounds and contributed to a defense that held Sonoma State and Chico State, which came into the tournament with a combined one loss, to a .298 shooting percentage in 17 and 18-point victories. “What Beth (Christensen) accomplished last weekend can't be seen on a shat sheet,” SPU coach Julie van Beek said. “She did an outstanding job directing the offense and made some amazing passes. . .She demonstrated amazing floor leadership in both games. In addition to her passing, she led the charge on defense, which set the tone in both wins. Both Sonoma and Chico who have point guards who like to drive and Beth's defensive pressure prevented them from penetrating.” Week of Dec. 10-16: Sheena Brown, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-8, Jr., Fairbanks, AK - Lathrop) scored 41 points and also had 12 rebounds, five assists and nine steals as the Nanooks extended their win streak to six with victories in Hawaii over Chaminade (82-60) and Hawaii Hilo (73-62). UAF's 7-1 start is its best since it began the 2000-01 season with an identical record.

    Week of Dec. 17-23: Hanna Hull, Central Washington (W, 5-9, Sr., Pateros, WA) and Quinn Brewe, Seattle University (F, 6-1, Jr., Edmonds, WA) . . .Hull scored 32 points and had seven assists and was named the Most Valuable Player in the Great Western Shootout at Las Vegas leading the Wildcats to wins over nationally third-ranked UC San Diego and Cal State Monterey Bay. Hull made eight of 15 three-pointers as the Wildcats improved to 8-0, matching their best start in school history. Hull now has 997 career points and needs three more to become the 29 th member of the GNAC 1000-Point Club. . . .Brewe had team-highs of 25 points and 15 rebounds as the Redhawks improved to 9-0 with two wins in Hawaii. Brewe made 10 of 16 field goals and all four of her free throws. Week of Dec. 24-30: Jackie Hollands, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-9, Sr., Oregon City, OR) earned Most Valuable Player honors in leading the Falcons to wins over UC San Diego and Cal Poly Pomona in the CCAA/GNAC Crossover Classic at San Diego. Hollands led SPU in scoring with 31 points, steals with five and blocks with three. She also had three assists and six rebounds. Week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6: Alira Carpenter, Montana State Billings (G, 5-8, Jr., Lewiston, MT – Fergus County) scored 53 points as the Yellowjackets had two second-half comebacks in Alaska. Carpenter had 27 points against Alaska Fairbanks including 11 in a 18-0 run as MSUB rallied for a 60-51 win. She netted 26 points against Alaska Anchorage, including 10 in the second half when the ‘Jackets rallied from a 49-31 deficit before losing by two. In the two games, Carpenter accounted for 42 percent of MSUB's point total, making 19 of 38 shots, nine of 20 from the arc. She also converted all six of her foul shots. Week of Jan. 7-13: Sheena Brown, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-8, Jr., Fairbanks, AK - Lathrop) and Jackie Thomas, Seattle University (G, 5-7, Sr., Tacoma, WA - Curtis). . .Brown had 57 points in a pair of narrow road losses, including 34 against Northwest Nazarene equaling the 11th highest single-game total in GNAC history. She also had eight rebounds, six assists and six steals. . .Thomas scored 27 points and also had nine steals, five assists and five rebounds leading the Redhawks to wins over Western Washington and Central Washington. She made 10 of 18 shots in the two contests. Her nine steals increased her career total to 189, moving her into a tie for second place on Seattle's all-time steal list. She ranks 10 th on the GNAC career steal list. Week of Jan. 14-20: Jackie Hollands, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-9, Sr., Oregon City, OR) and Mallory Whipple, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-7, Jr., Redmond, OR). . .Hollands scored 45 points (14-26 FGs, 8-16 three-pointers, 9-10 FTs) and also had nine assists, eight steals and eight rebounds as the Falcons stayed unbeaten in 15 games handing Western Washington its worst home loss in history and beating Central Washington by 12 at Ellensburg. . .Whipple scored 19 points and also led the Crusaders with 14 assists and six steals in double-digit round wins at Ellensburg and Bellingham. Whipple made seven of 14 shots, four of six from the three-point line, in addition to directing a offense that shot 49.6 percent (67-135) and had just 25 turnovers and a plus 13 takeaway advantage.

She made 10 of 12 shots, including a jumper with 4:52 left to snap a 69-69 tie, in a four-point win against Montana State Billings. In the two contests, she made 14 of 21 field goal attempts and all 10 of her foul shots. . .Olds came off the bench to lead Northwest Nazarene with 34 points in a pair of impressive double-digit wins over Seattle University and Montana State Billings. She was 10 of 17 from the floor, including five of 10 from the arc. Olds also had seven rebounds and five assists. Week of Jan. 28-Feb. 3: Dara Zack, Saint Martin's (F, 5-9, Fr., Spokane, WA – University) recorded her first two career double-doubles to lead the Saints to a pair of crucial road victories in its quest for a post-season berth. Zack had 24 points and 13 rebounds and snapped a 60-60 overtime tie on a jumper with 4.5 seconds remaining in a 62-60 win Thursday at Seattle University. She then had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead SMU to a 68-67 win at Billings on Saturday. In the two contests, Zack finished with 37 points and 23 rebounds, shooting at a 62.5 percent clip (15-24). Week of Feb. 4-10: Kelsey Hill, Seattle Pacific (C, 6-2, Jr., Portland, OR – Portland Christian) and Claire Pallansch, Western Washington (C, 6-1, Jr., Redmond, WA – Oregon State). . .Hill scored 38 points, including 28 in a one-point win over Alaska Anchorage. Her layup with 10 seconds left enabled the Falcons to remain unbeaten and snap the Seawolves' 29-game home winning streak. Hill made 16 of 31 shots and also had 14 rebounds as the Falcons improved to 20-0, clinching their ninth straight 20-win season. . .Pallansch scored 32 points and also had 16 rebounds as the Vikings, who have won their last three contests, earned victories in back-to-back games for the first time this season. The Viking junior currently ranks 21 st in GNAC history with 568 career rebounds. Week of Feb. 11-17: Chelsie Morrison, Seattle University (F, 5-11, Jr., Portland, OR - YVC) scored 35 points, including 18 of the Redhawks' final 20 points, in a 83-78 overtime win at Montana State Billings. Morrison made 14 of 23 shots, including five of 11 three-pointers. She hit a three-pointer with 21 second left in regulation to force overtime, then accounted for 11 of her team's 12 point in the extra session. Her 35 points was the second-most this season by a GNAC player. Week of Feb. 18-24: Leada Berkey, Western Oregon (G, 5-8, Sr., Amity, OR) scored 62 points, including a GNAC record 45 in a 89-81 double overtime win at Ellensburg, as the Wolves extended their win streak to three with a pair of road victories. Berkey made 23 of 48 shots, including eight of 18 treys, and also had 13 rebounds, eight assists and five steals. She extended her own GNAC record for 30-point career games to eight and also set a conference single-game record for most field goals with 16 in Thursday's victory. Week of Feb. 25-Mar. 2: Cristina Bruketta, Alaska Fairbanks (G, 5-9, Jr., Ellensburg, WA – Kittitas) contributed offensively and defensively in the Nanooks sweep of Western Washington and Central Washington as UAF doubled its season conference win total. In the two contests she scored 26 points (9-22 FGs, 4-13 on three-pointers) and also had seven rebounds and three steals. Playing against her hometown team, she had a team-high 14 points in UAF's three-point win over CWU and also took a hard charge on the right baseline to force a turnover with just seven seconds to play as Central's Ashley Fenimore was driving for the game-tying basket.

Week of Mar. 10-17: Kalhie Quinones, Alaska Anchorage (G, 5-7, Sr., Loveland, CO – Utah State) scored 50 points, including a game-high 14 in the championship game, to earn Most Outstanding Player honors in leading the Seawolves to the West Region title Quinones made 21 of 33 shots (63.6 percent) and also had 14 rebounds, eight assists and a team-best eight steals. 2008-09 Week of Nov. 10-16: Jessica Summers, Western Washington (F, 6-1, Sr., Blaine, WA – Idaho) and Alira Carpenter, Montana State Billings (G, 5-8, Sr., Lewiston, MT – Fergus County). . .Summers earned Most Valuable Player honors in leading the Vikings to two wins in the 12th annual Western Washington Lynda Goodrich Women's Basketball Classic at Bellingham. Summers scored 29 points and also had 23 rebounds, five blocks and three steals. . .Carpenter, the 2007-08 GNAC scoring champion, scored 33 points to equal her career high in a 91-81 win over Colorado State – Pueblo. Carpenter, who had 21 first-half points, also had a career-high 11 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one blocked shot. She made six of 13 three-pointers on the way to increasing her career point total to 1,432. Week of Nov. 17-23: Megan Hoisington, Seattle Pacific (F, 5-11, Jr., Bremerton, WA – Central Kitsap) was selected the Most Valuable Player as she led the Falcons to two wins in the GNAC/CCAA Challenge at Bellingham. Hoisington scored 29 points, connecting on 12 of 19 shots, and also had 11 rebounds, five assists and two steals in victories over UC San Diego and Cal Poly Pomona. Week of Nov. 24-30: Rebecca Kielpinski, Alaska Anchorage (C, 6-2, Sr., Mandan, ND) led the Seawolves to their third straight Great Alaska Shootout title, scoring 24 points, pulling down 15 rebounds and blocking six shots in wins over Cal State Northridge and Syracuse. Kielpinski, who also had six assists, earned tournament Most Outstanding Player honors for the third year in a row as she increased her career point and rebound totals to 1,478 and 963, respectively. She needs 37 more caroms to become the second player in GNAC history to record 1,000 rebounds. The Player-of-the-Week award was her eighth career award, extending her own GNAC record for women's basketball. Week of Dec. 1-7: Alira Carpenter, Montana State Billings (G, 5-8, Sr., Lewistown, MT – Fergus County) scored 29 points, connecting on five of eight three-pointers, as the Yellowjackets edged Metro State 65-61. Carpenter, who also had two assists and three steals, leads the GNAC in scoring, averaging 27 ½ points per game. She has scored at least 29 points in four of MSUB's six contests. She also ranks second in the GNAC in three-pointers made (3.00) and fifth in free throw percentage (8.78).

    2008-09 CONTINUED Week of Dec. 8-14: Kelsey Burns, Seattle Pacific (F, 5-11, S., Seattle, WA – Kennedy & U. Arizona), was selected the Most Valuable Player as she led the Falcons to two wins in the GNAC/CCAA Challenge at Chico. Burns scored 23 points and also had seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in wins over Sonoma State and host Chico State. Week of Dec. 15-21: Nicci Miller, Alaska Anchorage (F, 5-9, Jr., Denver, CO – Hinkley) and Alira Carpenter, Montana State Billings (G, 5-8, Sr., Lewiston, MT). . .Miller scored 48 points and also had 18 rebounds, eight rebounds, four assists and one block leading the Seawolves to three impressive wins, including two over Cal State Stanislaus, which came in with a 6-1 record. UAA won the three contests by an average margin of 35.7 points. . .Carpenter scored 75 points and also had eight rebounds, six assists and five steals as the Yellowjackets earned three wins in Hawaii. In the process, she became MSUB's all-time leading scorer with 1,639 career points. Carpenter made 27 of 60 shots, including 11 of 28 three-pointers in the three-game sweep. Week of Dec. 29-Jan. 4: Alira Carpenter, Montana State Billings (G, 5-8, Sr., Lewiston, MT) scored 44 points and also had eight rebounds as the Yellowjackets split two games, earning a road win at Colorado State Pueblo, which came into the game with an 8-2 record. MSUB, which won just 11 games last season takes an 8-3 record into the conference portion of its schedule. Carpenter has scored 19 or more points in all 11 MSUB games. Week of Jan. 5-11: Kelsey Burns, Seattle Pacific (F, 5-11, Sr., Seattle, WA – Kennedy) scored 38 points, including 25 in a 88-69 win at Montana State Billings as the Falcons overcame a first-half deficit to remain unbeaten in NCAA Division II contests. Burns, who also had seven rebounds, nine assists and five steals, made seven of eight three-pointers including five of five against MSUB. She missed just seven shots in the two contests, making 15 of 22. Week of Jan. 12-18: Janee Olds, Northwest Nazarene (G, 5-8, Jr., Coos Bay, OR – North Bend) scored 35 points and also had 15 rebounds and five steals as the Crusaders took over sole possession of third place in the GNAC with two home wins. Olds made 10 of 19 shots, five of 10 from beyond the three-point line. Week of Jan. 19-25: Jackie Thiel, Alaska Anchorage (G, 5-4, Sr. Plainview, TX – Florida Gulf Coast) and Roni Jo Mielke, Saint Martin's (G, 5-6, So., Harrington, WA – Harrington-Sprague). . .Thiel scored 16 points and also had 10 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and just one turnover in leading the Seawolves to two come-from-behind wins as they ran their win streak to a school-record 16 games. In UAA's 53-49 win over Seattle Pacific, she earned an assist on Tamar Gruwell's game-winning three-pointer and then grabbed a key rebound with 8.3 seconds left and made two clinching free throws in the four-point victory. . .Mielke, whose previous career high had been 13 points, scored 41 points, including 24 in a 86-83 overtime win at Western Oregon. Mielke hit a three-pointer to force overtime against the Wolves and then scored seven points in the extra session including two foul shots to put SMU ahead 84-83 in the final minute. In SMU's two wins, she made 14 of 24 shots, including four of five three-pointers. She also had seven assists, six rebounds and three steals. Week of Jan. 26-Feb. 1: Amanda Dunbar, Western Washington (G, 5-9, So., Marysville, WA – Marysville-Pilchuck) scored 39 points as the Vikings recorded their 799th and 800th all-time victories during their storied women's basketball history. Dunbar had 19 points in WWU's 84-44 thrashing of Seattle Pacific on Thursday converting all five of her three-point attempts. She added 20 more points in the Vikings' 82-72 win at Central on

    Saturday. The victory was WWU's 76th all-time victory against the Wildcats. In the two contests she made nine of 12 attempts from outside the arc and was 11 of 18 overall. Week of Feb. 2-8: Daesha Henderson, Seattle Pacific (G, 5-8, Jr., Snohomish, WA) and Jamey Gelhar, Saint Martin's (G, 5-6, Jr., Brush Prairie, WA - Prairie). . .Henderson made two-thirds of her shots and scored 41 points to lead a short-handed Falcon team to wins against Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene. Henderson made 16 of 24 attempts, five of 12 from the three-point line. She also keyed the SPU defense with nine steals. . .Gelhar scored 36 points, connecting on 13 of 23 shots, four of five three-pointers, and, of course, all six of her foul shots. She had 20 points, including a s
