If the last date as fixed above falls on any holiday declared subsequently, the applications will be received on the next working day.

No application will be entertained thereafter.

Specimen copy of the application form will be available in the Tollygunge Rationing Office where the vacancy exists. The form will also be available in the office of the Joint Director Rationing, Kolkata (South) and on www.wbpds.gov.in which can also be downloaded.

Eligibility Criteria:

1) The applicant must be on adult citizen of India.

2) The applicant (in case of individual) should be permanent resident of the Sub- area in which the vacancy occurs.

3) Each application should be accompanied by a non- refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- in Treasury Challan (Form No. 7) under the head of A/c 1456-00-800-001-Civil Supply-27-other receipts.

4) The applicant should have knowledge of both reading and writing of local language prevailing in the area for which the vacancy stands for.

5) He/ She must be able to make a financial arrangement of Rs. 50000/- at least to purchase indented commodities in order to run the Fair Price Shop properly and efficiently. Such arrangement should be shown in Bank deposit.

6) He/ She must have a shop-cum-godown space comprising a covered effective floor space of at least 200 sqft. (two hundred square feet) along with a covered veranda of standard size of his/ her own or to be taken by him/ her on rent at the site where the vacancy exists.

7) He/ She must not be convicted in any criminal offence involving moral turpitude, or in any offence under Essential Commodities Act, and or, any police case should not be pending against him/her.

8) He/ She must be prepared to furnish, on engagement, a security deposit of Rs. 25000/- (Rupees Twenty five thousand) only and licence fee of Rs. 10000/- in Treasury Challan in appropriate head of a/c for fulfilment of his/ her obligations as an FPS Owner.

9) The applicant should not possess any Fair Price Shop either in his/her name or any member of his / her family. Also he/ she should not be connected with any wholesaler or distributor duly licensed by this Department in the form of a partner or promoter.

The applicant must fulfil the above eligibility criteria.

The applicant must submit the following supporting documents along with application:-

a) Recent passport size coloured photograph (to be self-attested and affixed on the application form).

b) Affidavit as per Annexure-I to Form-A-1 under WBUPDS (M&C) Order, 2013. c) Proof of Citizenship (Photocopy of EPIC/AADHAR Card/PAN Card/Passport)d) Proof of residence.e) Proof of Educational Qualification.

f) Documents regarding Possessional right over the proposed place of business. g) Proof of financial solvency.

Condition:-1. The functioning of Fair Price Shop shall be governed by the provisions as laid down in the

West Bengal Urban Public Distribution System (Maintenance & Control) Order, 2013.2. The selected dealer shall abide by the instructions as may be issued from time to time by the

Director of Rationing and any other officers authorized by him in this regard.3. Any form of canvassing will automatically disqualify a candidate for engagement.4. Any suppression of information or incorporation of wrong information in the application form

will be considered as a gross disqualification for a candidate.5. Applications which do not reach the Joint Director of Rationing, Kolkata (South) within

the last date of submission, mentioned above, will be rejected. 6. The Director of Rationing, West Bengal reserves the right to reject any application without

Eligibility Criteria:

1) The applicant must be an adult citizen of India.

2) The applicant (in case of individual) should be permanent resident of the Sub- area in which the vacancy occurs.

3) Each application should be accompanied by a non- refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- in Treasury Challan (Form No. 7) under the head of A/c 1456-00-800-001-Civil Supply-27-other receipts.

4) The applicant should have knowledge of both reading and writing of local language prevailing in the area for which the vacancy stands for.

5) He/ She must be able to make a financial arrangement of Rs. 50000/- at least to purchase indented commodities in order to run the Fair Price Shop properly and efficiently. Such arrangement should be shown in Bank deposit.

6) He/ She must have a shop-cum-godown space comprising a covered effective floor space of at least 200 sqft. (two hundred square feet) along with a covered veranda of standard size of his/ her own or to be taken by him/ her on rent at the site where the vacancy exists.

7) He/ She must not be convicted in any criminal offence involving moral turpitude, or in any offence under Essential Commodities Act, and or, any police case should not be pending against him/her.

8) He/ She must be prepared to furnish, on engagement, a security deposit of Rs. 25000/- (Rupees Twenty five thousand) only and licence fee of Rs. 10000/- in Treasury Challan in appropriate head of a/c for fulfilment of his/ her obligations as an FPS Owner.

9) The applicant should not possess any Fair Price Shop either in his/her name or any member of his / her family. Also he/ she should not be connected with any wholesaler or distributor duly licensed by this Department in the form of a partner or promoter.

The applicant must fulfil the above eligibility criteria.

The applicant must submit the following supporting documents along with application:-

a) Recent passport size coloured photograph (to be self-attested and affixed on the application form).

b) Affidavit as per Annexure-I to Form-A-1 under WBUPDS (M&C) Order, 2013. c) Proof of Citizenship (Photocopy of EPIC/AADHAR Card/PAN Card/Passport)d) Proof of residence.e) Proof of Educational Qualification.f) Documents regarding Possessional right over the proposed place of business. g) Proof of financial solvency.

Condition:-1. The functioning of Fair Price Shop shall be governed by the provisions as laid down in the

West Bengal Urban Public Distribution System (Maintenance & Control) Order, 2013.
