1.Start your own blog It’s remarkably easy to start your own blog. I show you

how to do it here in under 30 minutes.

I use Bluehost to host my websites and thoroughly

recommend them for people starting out. Hosting with

Bluehost starts from as little as a $2.95 a month (the price

of a coffee!)

Once you’ve started your blog about something you’re

passionate about, there are some excellent free resources

that show you how to grow a reputable blog and monetise

2.Earn with matched betting (UK ONLY) Want to make thousands of pounds risk free cash? If you

live in the UK, matched betting offers the potential to do

just that.

If you’re hearing alarm bells, don’t worry - matched

betting isn’t gambling. Done right, it’s 100% risk free.

It simply takes advantage of free bets and incentives

offered by the bookmakers and absolutely anyone can do

it. So if you need a short or long term cash injection,

3.Get paid for website feedback There are a ton of websites out there who will pay you for

doing surveys, but many take up a lot of time for little

return. UserTesting, however, pay around $10/£7 for a 20

minute website review.

Sign up at www.usertesting.com, complete a simple test

review and you’ll start receiving sites to review within a

few days.

You’ll need a microphone built into your computer (or an

external mic that can be plugged in), plus you need to take

the reviews seriously. People have paid for genuine

feedback to their websites, so think about the tests from

the perspective of a real user or customer.

If you just skim through the tests simply to get paid, you

risk getting a poor review yourself, which will impact on the

amount of surveys you get.

4.Start an affiliate marketing business Affiliate marketing is where you sell someone else’s

products and get a commission in return. Amazon run one

of the most famous affiliate programmes.

The most common way to succeed at affiliate marketing

is to set up your own affiliate website. This is what I did

and I now earn passive income every month. Everything I

learned in the early stages I owe to Wealthy Affiliate, an

online training community for affiliate marketeers.

The amazing thing about Wealthy Affiliate is their FREE

Starter Account (no CC required), where they give you 2

free websites and top notch beginner training, simply for

opening an account. It’s a brilliant way to see if affiliate

marketing is for you and personally, I’m indebted to

Wealthy Affiliate for showing me the ropes in the early

stages. I thoroughly recommend them for beginners to

affiliate marketing.

5.Earn cash or vouchers with Swagbucks If you have a bit of spare time on your hands, enjoy

surfing the web, watching videos or filling out the odd

survey, Swagbacks is a nifty way to earn online vouchers

for stores like Amazon.

Whilst you can earn cash with Swagbucks, it does take a

bit of time to earn anything worthwhile. I earned a £5

Amazon gift voucher in only a few days, so it’s worth

joining up if you’re online a lot.

6.Sell your old clothes on Ebay Ebay is an excellent way to clean out your closet and make

some cash at the same time.

If people can make money selling empty toilet roll holders

on Ebay (they do!), it’s pretty likely your old Levi jeans or

baby clothes will sell there too.

7.Build an Amazon FBA business FBA means ‘Fulfilled by Amazon’ and it basically means

you send Amazon new products you want to sell and they’ll

dispatch them for you.

Many people do this by buying up low cost items in bulk

and re-selling them on the FBA program. You can get

scanning apps that tell you how much a product is likely to

sell for an Amazon and once you know the ropes, selling on

the FBA program is not difficult to do. The main challenge

is finding the products to sell, but many people make a FT

income selling everyday products on Amazon.

8.See your own products on Etsy Are you a ninja on a sewing machine? Can you make your

own organic natural health care products? (I make my own

deodorant and toothpaste.)

If so, it may be you could sell what you make on Etsy.

This is exactly what Crunchy Betty did with her natural

health and skincare products and she was pushing a

whopping 30,000 orders when I last looked.

So if you have a good product Etsy really works.

9.Earn cashback when you shop online If you shop online a lot, cashback sites will pay you when

you click through to a retailer, (via the cashback site) and

then go on to spend or sign up for a product.

It’s possible to earn a few hundred pounds or dollars (or

more) a year from making purchases via a cashback site.

Ebates is the most popular cashback site in the US.

If you’re in the UK, TopCashBack is cited by

MoneyMakingExpert as one of the most lucrative to join.

Just be mindful of getting sucked into buying things you

wouldn’t otherwise have bought just to get the cashback.

10.Earn money as a virtual assistant Becoming a virtual assistant (often called a VA) is all the

rage these days and offers a great option for working from

home.

Becoming a VA essentially means hiring out skills you

already have. These skills can be anything from

copywriting, graphic design or social media management,

to book-keeping, translation or data entry.

Using a dedicated service that will match your VA skills

with appropriate clients is a good place to start. Belay

Solutions, Priority VA and Fancy Hands are popular ones to

try.

If being a VA appeals, you might also want to try The

Bootstrap VA - a guide to becoming a virtual assistant that

gets consistently rave reviews on Amazon.

11.Become a proof reader online It’s possible to earn a full time income from online proof

reading, but you need to love reading, be able to ‘spelll’,

be great with grammar and have eagle eyes like The Bionic

Man.

to earn money from home.

12.Search the web and get paid for it If you spend a lot of time online, why not sign up to Qmee?

It takes seconds to join and once you’ve loaded a small

app into your browser Qmee works in the background to

send you offers and opportunities to earn a few pence or

cents. These opportunities appear randomly on the left of

your browser when something is available.

Don’t spend ages surfing in an attempt to get Qmee to

popup - this doesn't work and you’ll just be wasting time.

Like Swagbucks, it takes a long time to earn anything

significant, but if you’re online a lot, even small amounts

add up eventually and combined with sites like Qmee and

cashback sites like Ebates, money can accumulate over

time.

13.Write and publish an ebook Do you love writing? Maybe you have a skill or passion you

could teach others?

In the age of Amazon and Kindles anyone can write and

publish an ebook. And it’s much easier than you might

think.

14.Sell your old mobile phone Got an old iPhone kicking around?

Selling your old phone can bring in some quick cash, as

well as help recycle phones that may otherwise end up in

landfill.

In the UK, a good resource is www.mobilecashmate.co.uk.

If the US, www.ecoatm.com offer a kiosk based service

where you can exchange your phone for cash.

15.Make money selling ‘Gigs’ on Fiverr Are you a whiz at knocking up killer infographics? Do you

know a thing or two about writing engaging sales copy?

Perhaps you’re a pro at translation.

Whatever your skill it’s likely someone will pay you for it on

Fiverr.

To sell your skills, simply signup to Fiverr, create your first

‘gig’ and hey presto, you’re good to go.

16.Sell your photos on iStockphoto Are you the next Annie Liebovitz?

Ok, that might be pushing it a bit, but if you can still take a

mean photo, try uploading them to stock photography sites

like istockphoto or Fotilia. You’ll get a royalty fee every

time someone downloads ones of your shots.

Fuzzy, dodgy lighting or bad composition just won’t cut it,

so you need to know what you’re doing, plus you’ll need a

proper high resolution camera. But if you’re an amateur (or

pro) with an armoury of awesome shots, this iStock guide

to selling stock photos tells you what you need to know.

17. Invest in the stock market If stocks and shares appeal to you, the web has cracked

this area wide open.

What was once, primarily, the domain of Wall Street type

brokers is now something you can do yourself, with the

help of online market trading platforms.

eToro is one of the most popular trading platforms, with

over 45 million worldwide users.

If you’re new to online market trading, bear in mind there

will likely be a steep learning curve - however Save The

Student offer a good guide to investing in the stock market

with eToro if you think you’re up for the challenge.

Disclaimer: Investing in the stock market can be volatile

and it is possible to lose money, as well as make it. Please

ensure investing or trading in the stock market is suitable

for you and that you understand the risks involved.

18. Review music for money Whilst you won’t end up on Billboard’s Money Makers’ List,

if you love music, you can review unsigned bands and

artists online for cash with Slicethepie.

You’ll only get paid a small amount for each review (around

5-20 cents), but this can add up over time. Cash is a bonus

for many people, as they simply love the idea of being an

online music scout.

To get value out of Slicethepie you need to submit

detailed, varied and constructive reviews. ‘Your track sucks’

or ‘I liked it’ isn’t very helpful, so try and listen out for and

comment on elements such as lyrics, intro and rhythm etc.

19.Buy and sell domain names It’s totally possible to buy a domain name (i.e. a website

address such as www.onemumandalittlelady.com) and sell

it for a profit on sites such as sedo.com.

The trick is to find domain names that are available to buy

and have some commercial value. Hotels.com was bought

for a whopping $11 million in 2001 and whilst it’s unlikely

you’ll replicate success like this, it’s still common place to

sell catchy domain names for a profit.

I use and love Namecheap for buying domain names and

found this handy guide from GoDaddy on buying and

selling domain names helpful.

Warning: Avoid buying domain names of well known

brands, companies or people with the sole intention of

making a profit - this is cybersquatting. This is not playing

cricket (as they say in the UK) and it can be illegal.

20.Sell your old CDs, DVDs and games I made around £500 from selling books, DVDS, CDS and

Box Sets on Amazon. It’s really easy to do and can quickly

bring in a tidy profit, with the added bonus of clearing up

some space around the house.

It’s even easier on Music Magpie, as you simply enter the

barcode of your CDs, DVDs or games and they’ll offer you

a price.

Music Magpie is the more hassle free option if you want a

quick sale, but, whilst Amazon takes a bit more effort, you

do have control over the price an item sells for. Although

bear in mind Amazon charge a seller fee.

21.Make a video & upload it to YouTube YouTube now reaches more US adults aged 18-34 than any

cable network. That’s a HUGE captive audience.

And creating a video and uploading it to YouTube is easier

than you might think. One option is to use free screen

capture software to create an online tutorial.

For example, if you’re great at drawing, you could design a

simple ‘how to draw a person’s face’ video and link it to

Google Adsense. If your video gets a lot of views, (this one

has over 3 million) you have the potential to earn some

serious cash from people clicking on the ads that are

displayed each time your video is played.

Alternatively, join an affiliate network such as ClickBank,

Commission Junction or ShareASale, pick an affiliate

product you would recommend to others, then create a

video review around it - either with a smartphone or the

free screen capture software mentioned above.

Pop the affiliate link in your video description and each

time someone signs up for the product or service via your

video review, you’ll earn a commission.

Keep in mind, most people can smell ‘clickbait’ - (a blatant

attempt to get people to sign up for an affiliate product via

a review, without really offering any real value) a mile off.

So the trick here is to create a video from the heart - i.e.

on something you honestly care about or would seriously

recommend to others.

22.Sell professional services on Upwork Do you have great writing, design or bookkeeping skills?

Perhaps you’re a whiz at Flash design, data entry or setting

up Wordpress blogs. Whatever your professional skill, it’s

easy to set yourself up as a freelancer on Upwork.

Simply signup, submit a killer freelancer profile to

showcase your skills (kind of like a resume), then start

submitting compelling proposals to potential clients.

Once you’ve secured a few jobs and a positive rating,

Upwork can be a lucrative way to work from home.

23.Create your own online course Online courses are all the rage. So if you have a skill, or

something you’re naturally really good at, you could try

teaching others how to do it, by creating your own online

course.

You don’t need a Masters in Neuroscience, just something

you’re knowledgeable about - anything from how to create

a killer Youtube video to the basics of sewing or beginner

guitar.

You’ll need to offer something of value to succeed here, but

if you fancy your chances as an online tutor, Udemy can

guide you through setting up and selling your own online

course. Teachable is another popular option.

Courses are free to setup on Udemy - they simply take a

small percentage cut of the course price when you make a

sale, whereas Teachable work on a tiered monthly plan

basis.

24.Become a transcriptionist Do you have a good ear? Then becoming a transcriptionist

could be for you.

Transcribing is essentially where audio or video is

converted into a textual document. It’s not hard to do and

a site such as transcribeme.com can be a great place to

start, as you don’t need any prior transcription experience

- just a computer and an Internet connection (headphones

are also recommended).

Transcribe Me is also free to join and once you’ve passed

their English exam and been accepted you as a transcriber,

you’ll be good to go.

25.Be a freelance writer Can you spin words like a pro?

If so, you might want to consider becoming a freelance

writer.

The beauty of the web is that you no longer have to spend

hours marketing yourself directly to magazines,

newspapers and publishers. You can simply sign up to a

site like Content Mart, which connects quality copywriters

with relevant clients.

Whilst you’re building up a profile for yourself, as a trusted

writer, it can be worth signing up to a few freelance writing

sites, so you are not reliant on work all coming from one

place.

Freelancer is another popular option that offers content

and writing jobs.

26. Enter competitions Did you know ‘comping’ is a recognised term?

‘Comping’ is essentially entering lots of competitions in

the hope of winning cash and other prizes of value, such as

household items, cars or holidays.

Some people make a business out of ‘comping’, as

statistically speaking, if you enter enough competitions,

you’re highly likely to win at some point.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a ‘comper’, Money Making

Expert offer 43 Comping Tips here. It’s aimed at the UK,

but the ideas and tips can be applied globally.

Entering ‘#competition’ into Twitter can also be a quick

way to source online competitions online in seconds.

Never pay to register with a competition site and keep in

mind that brands run competitions largely to get hold of

consumer email addresses. This makes it a really good idea

to set up a dedicated email account, which you use just for

competition entries. Otherwise you risk getting a lot of

junk into your main inbox.

27. Answer questions for money Do you have professional or expert knowledge in a

particular area?

If so, you could get paid for answering questions on

justanswer.com or justanswer.co.uk.

Just Answer works by connecting people who have a

specific question, in a given field, with an expert who can

provide the answer. From lawyers, doctors and vets to car

and home improvement and computer experts,

professionals answer consumer questions on a range of

subjects and get paid for it.

Keep in mind, you need proven professional, expert

knowledge to sign up with Just Answer - you can’t just

join up and offer half baked answers you got off Wikipedia!

Depending on your area of expertise, however, there is the

potential to earn real money here.

To offer some examples, Just Answer estimate that

answering 5 hours of legal questions, a week, could earn

you up to $532, 5 hours of expert car knowledge up to

$370 or 5 hours of home improvement expertise, up to

$193.
