Waveform Interpretation Guide

The following will help you to utilize the Graphics Option on the

Respironics Esprit® ventilator.

Graphically displayed waveforms can help identify and evaluate the effect of ventilator setting changes.

There are two types of graphics:1) Time Curves

• Sometimes referred to as scalar graphics for• Pressure• Flow• Volume

2) Loops• Pressure-Volume• Flow-Volume

Loops display two parameters on a single graph, showing the relationship between pressure and volume, and flow and volume.
