April Showers Bring… Warmer weather? We are hoping that April will bring us weather that will allow for more outdoor time! March certainly came in like a lion, and we are looking forward to celebrating Earth Day this month outdoors! Sneak Peek Week We will be taking a peek into the Summer Program March 29th-April 5th, with daily themes directly from our summer program plans. Hooray!! Spring Fundraisers We will be participating in several fundraisers this spring, with proceeds going towards our Summer Program! In addition to the Wilderness Hotel fundraiser that you received a flyer about, we will be having a coffee fundraiser through Buena Vida Coffee, which contributes their portion of proceeds to an orphanage in Honduras. We will have another fundraiser through Midland Fundraising, where 50% of the profits
will come back to Ebenezer! Both the Buena Vida Coffee fundraiser and the Midland Fundraiser will run from April 1st—April 15th. Week of the Young Child Week of the Young Child is April 14th-April 20th, and we will be celebrating the importance of quality early childhood education each day during the week. Our theme for 2013 is ―Early Years are Learning Years!‖ Working Mom’s Luncheon Ebenezer will be hosting a Working Mother’s Luncheon on May 2nd! You can register for this fun event on our website! Infant Room Hello from the Infant Room, and welcome to Spring! This month, we will be gearing up for spring with lots of spring art projects. We also hope to be able to get outside, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for nice weather (or should we say ―baby friendly weather‖!). So we ask that you make sure your child has weather-appropriate jackets and hats for buggy rides. We would like to wish Ka’Mya Marshall a very Happy Birthday— she will be turning one on April 23rd! Toddler Room For the month of April, we will focus on: Going to the zoo, with a peek-a-boo picture for art and fruit
salad for cooking. New life and spring, with a budding tree for art and crescent
rolls for cooking. Caterpillars and Butterflies, with a butterfly for art and
cucumber with dip for cooking. April Showers, with an umbrella for art, and blueberry
cobbler for cooking. Frogs, with a tadpole picture for art and green jello, with
green grapes for cooking. Twos Room The Twos are so excited that it is April. We are waiting for the snow to go away, so we can play! March was a long, cold month and we are ready for some warmth.
In April, we will be working on rain, water, and clouds, and also focusing on the circus. We would like to welcome Dylan to our room! Please remember as the weather warms up to check cubbies to make sure we have the right sizes and types of extra clothes in there! Thanks! Preschool Room Woo! March flew by so fast! We are so excited for spring and some warmer weather! This April, we are looking forward to our Summer Blast preview week, as well as learning about all things spring! We will be learning all about the weather, animals and flowers! We will be celebrating Josiah’s 3rd birthday, too! It’s going to be a great month!
