Waterview Event Space & Ancora Restaurant - Vancouver BC 2 May 2019
Pure Discovery Vancouver was the first stop of our roadshow series in 2019. It was well attended with great feedback.
Our offerings for participating wineries were on multiple platforms for best networking opportunities:
Trade Session: Consisting of 20 winery tables, including a Lighter Wines table. There were also two levy tables – Aromatics and Sparkling wines.
The room was busy throughout the day and had a strong representation of trade and media from around the city.
Consumer Session: To provide the full Kiwi experience, we added a Kapa Haka performance, live gituarist and catering from our New Zealand partners; The Lamb Company and Whittaker’s chocolate.
Speed Dating: 20-minute focussed meetings with winery principals guiding top buyers and media through a strong selection of their portfolio.
VIP Lunch: Hosted at Ancora Restaurant, one of Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants 2019. This lunch featured a selection of wines from the trade session and was attended by winery principals, key trade and media.

Pure Discovery Ottawa was the third and final stop of our roadshow series in 2019. It had been a couple of years since an event was held here and the response from trade and consumers was very positive. Ottawa seems to have a thirst for knowledge and diversity with a strong consumer base.
Trade: Consisting of 17 winery tables, including a Lighter Wines table, an LCBO Vintages release table. There were also two levy tables – Chardonnay and Sparkling.
Strong engagement from trade and media allowed wineries and representitives to make great connections.
Consumer: The consumer session was sold out, with a gathered crowd at the door for opening at 6.30. We featured the tables from the trade tasting as well as a LCBO Destination Collection table with event exclusives. We had a live guitarist and two food stations, as well as a selection of passed canapés. Consumer response was great in Ottawa.
