THE PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
As the summer winds down, we are looking at keeping the pool open as long as possible if mother nature cooperates. We have targeted October 15th to close depending on the continued nice weather. We will send an email blast out if there are pool schedule changes. We have noticed a few signs showing up at our entrances advertising house sales. Please remind your realtors that our covenants only allow one sign in the yard of a home for sale and no others. Any signs found at our entrances will be disposed of. We would like to remind all of our new owners building homes that we have the proper mailbox required by our rules in stock and available.
We purchase in bulk to get the best price and pass the entire savings on to the new owner. If it is bought elsewhere, it is much more expensive. Our fall function is approaching, and we would encourage everyone to come and enjoy some fellowship with your neighbors, especially any of you new to the development. Costume and FUNNIEST Costume. Party attendees will vote, and a prize will be given to
the winners. Costumes are strongly encouraged but not required for attendance.
BEVERAGES Please bring your own beverage or choice of Poison.
MAIN COURSE The entrée will be catered. SIDE DISHES or APPETIZERS are REQUESTED. There will be
a HALLOWEEN THEMED CONTEST on your dishes for MOST CREATIVE, SCARIEST and
MOST GHOULISHLY DELICIOUS.

Are you interesting playing Pickleball? You don’t need any special equipment or experience. There are
folks that will teach you the fundamentals and they have extra paddles and balls. All you need is the
will to have some fun. A group of WSC residents get together on Wednesdays and either Saturday or
Sunday at 7:00pm. If you are interested, get your name on the email chain so you can be alerted to the

WSC WINE CLUB
The next Cocktails at the Clubhouse will be November 8th. The October Spooktacular will take the place of Cocktails at the Clubhouse in October. Cocktails at the Clubhouse is BYOB with each of us bringing an appetizer to share. It is a great time to get to know your neighbors and find out what is going on in the neighborhood. If you would like to volunteer to host, please contact Susan Reynolds at [email protected] or 912-293-1131 or sign up at the next Cocktails at the Clubhouse. Responsibilities are light and include opening and locking up the clubhouse, setting out plates/cups and picking up afterwards (don’t panic everyone usually helps pick up).

Adopt-A Highway volunteers are always needed, and everyone is welcome. Please meet in the clubhouse parking lot on Saturday, November 9th at 9:00am. The more volunteers the less time it takes to clean our 2 mile stretch of High Falls Road from Highway 183 to High Falls Park. Please dress appropriate for the weather. Pick up sticks, trash bags and gloves are provided.

ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE
In an effort to keep WSC better informed, your Architectural Control Committee (ACC) will be
highlighting Waterside Crossing Guidelines in the monthly newsletter. The ACC is made up of volunteers
who are trying to protect homeowners by maintaining a high standard that is currently making
Waterside Crossing one of the most desirable subdivisions on Lake Keowee.
Fall is here and so are the “To Do Lists”
With the cooler temperatures coming (soon we hope) the list of home maintenance opportunities
begins to multiply.
This is a reminder from your Architectural Control Committee (aka ACC) that some projects will require
review by the ACC. Projects such as, but not limited to these, are:
1. exterior painting or staining 2. additions to your existing home 3. new porches and decks 4. re-roofing your home 5. new driveways 6. cart paths 7. tree cutting 8. changes in garage doors or colors 9. etc.
If you are contemplating any new projects, please drop us a note and we will forward any required
forms. The process is fast and painless. The ACC prides itself on returning any inquiries within 24 hours.
Our goal is to ensure that Waterside Crossing maintains its incredible beauty and continues to offer
excellent re-sale values for all homeowners.

WSC REALESTATE UPDATE
Hello neighbors,
My name is Dale McCaskey and we are currently building our home on Quiet Water Way and hope to be in soon.
I am also a Realtor® with Lake Keowee Real Estate. Before moving to South Carolina, we lived in California where I
was also a Realtor ® and provided a real estate market update for the newsletter in my neighborhood.
It’s my experience that most of us enjoy keeping up to date with the real estate activity in our neighborhood.

Since the September newsletter there has been no change in either waterfront residential homes or waterfront
lots. There are currently two waterfront homes under contract which should impact the numbers upon closing.
Two interior homes sold causing a slight decline in the YTD average sale price from last month. However, YTD
average residential sale prices are still up compared to last year. One interior lot sold, having a positive effect in
average sale prices for interior lots and there are currently two interior lots under contract.
