Location Leaving the M6 motorway at Junction 40 head to Penrith then

follow the A66 towards Keswick. At the first roundabout take the A592

then at the 'T' junction take the right hand turning signposted for

Glenridding. Follow this road for approximately half of a mile then turn

right at the Brackenrigg Inn, signposted Bennet Head. Follow this road

for 3/4 mile then take a sharp right hand turn signposted Dacre. After

200 yards the road forks to the right and Wreay Barn is at the end of

this row of properties and has a slate canopy to the front.

Alternatively Wreay Barn can be reached from Ambleside by taking the

Kirkstone Road from the mini roundabout at the northern end of town

and continuing up the hill to the T junction opposite the Kirkstone Pass

Inn. Turn left and continue down Kirkstone Pass towards Ullswater,

passing through the villages of Patterdale and Glenridding. Continue

along this road and upon reaching The Brackenrigg Inn, take the left

hand turn left signposted Bennet Head. Follow this road for

Description From Pooley Bridge through Sharrow Bay to Howtown, long

reaches of the sparkling waters of beautiful Ullswater stretch out in
