SAND PAINTING: MANDALA STYLE - Debora AhmedThere are two cultures that use sand paintings to express a ceremonial healing process: Tibetan Hindus and Navajo Native Americans. This class will explore this fascinating practice of these two peoples, then create sand paintings of their own. We will use radial symmetry to create a mandala-style design and then fill in the shapes with various colors of sand. Ballet is a continuous school-year program from Sept. 6 - May 19, 2017. All students participate in a Spring Ballet with free admission at an area audito-rium.
