    Water and Sanitation in Liberia

The Water and Sanitation situation in Liberia is very grave.Since 20 years ago now, there has been no pipe borne water in

the County. Liberians have been drinking from opened wells,

rivers, creeks, and hand du wells.

As the result of this, statistics on suspected cases of cholera in2010 was 1,435

This is the result of unsafe drinking water

    Water and Sanitation in Liberia

Good hygienic practices is not being observed by many people inLiberia especially in rural Liberia. Waste are stocked piled on the

streets, and are placed anywhere in the street or communities.

Hence, these aba es become the breedin centres for

mosquitoes, thus leading to malaria and other environmentaldiseases.
