Introduction

Applications of Circuit:

This Circuit has a number of practical uses in daily life.

Now no need to go on the roof to check the water level. Can be used to measure underground storage of water.Water  level Indicator works to maintain a constant water level.

(Used in different Plants and Industries) Alarm starts ringing as soon as tank becomes full.

It helps to check overflow and wastage of water by warning the person when the tank is about to brim.

It can also be used to calculate incoming and out going water in large reservoirs.

It is used to predict the arrival of floods.

Introduction

Motivation:

This circuit is designed to determine the water level especially in a water tank.

As the water level increases from the base of the tank the number of glowing LEDS increases subsequently.

Amount of water present in a water tank can be easily measured.

Introduction

Limitation:

This circuit has some limitations because we have made it for a small experiment. So, if we want to implement it for a big tank or industrial purpose then we have to work more on the circuit nature. We have to think about the ratio of it’s cost and facilities too.

Components Required:

Resistors , 330 ohm Transistors , BC547 Power Supply , 9V LED Sound Buzzer Breadboard Connecting Wires

Short Description:

Resistor:A resistor is an electrical component that limits or regulates the flow of electrical current in an electronic circuit. Resistors can also be used to provide a specific voltage for an active device such as a transistor.

Page 11: Water Level Indicator with Alarm

Short Description:Transistor:A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify and switch electronic signals and electrical power. It is composed of semiconductor material with at least three terminals for connection to an external circuit. A voltage or current applied to one pair of the transistor's terminals changes the current through another pair of terminals. Because the controlled (output) power can be higher than the controlling (input) power, a transistor can amplify a signal. Today, some transistors are packaged individually, but many more are found embedded in integrated circuits.

Short Description:

LED:Stands for "Light-Emitting Diode." An LED is an electronic device that emits light when an electrical current is passed through it. Early LEDs produced only red light, but modern LEDs can produce several different colors, including red, green, and blue (RGB) light. Recent advances in LED technology have made it possible for LEDs to produce white light as well. LEDs are commonly used for indicator lights (such as power on/off lights) on electronic devices

OutputWorking of Circuit:

• When any wire is dipped in water that wire will be connected to wire through water, establishing a negative voltage across the base of transistor. Current begins to flow from collector. In this way, LED glows. • After successive connections of wires with respective LEDs will glow, and when wire will be connected, then there will be sound alarming you that water has attained maximum level and after this water will flow over.

UsesAutomatic Water level Controller can be used in Hotels, Factories, Homes Apartments, Commercial Complexes, Drainage etc.It can be fixed for single phase motor, Single Phase Submersibles, Three Phase motors and open well, Bore well and Sump. Automatic water level controller will automatically START the pump set as soon as the water level falls below the predetermined level (usually 1/2 tank) and shall SWITCH OFF the pump set as soon as tank is full.Fuel level indicator in vehicles.Liquid level indicator in the huge containers in the companies.

Cost Analysis

Only 300 BDT need to make this device. It gives a great output at a very cheap rate. If it need to convert for industrial purpose then the cost will extend for connecting wires but the increasing amount will be very little which is near to the primary cost.

Future Plan

We want to make our device more Advanced. We want to add AutomaticControlling System to our device. Then the device will automatically turned on when the tank is empty and the device will automatically turned off when the tank will be full of water.

Conclusion

In the Earth, the resource of pure drinking water is very limited. So, we should make the best use of every single drop of water. Our device will prevent the overflow and wastage of water. Again, the device saves man power. So, people can get a great facility by using our device at a very cheap rate.
