Water in your head

For this mission the class was divided in to sub-
groups and each group had to think what water means
to them, what it represents, and why it is important.
The following photo shows the students performing
the task. Each group then presented their thoughts to
the other groups,
thus concluding
that water is a
very important
resource.
Group 1:
This group thought
about the Maltese
Painted Frog and its
tadpoles . This is
endemic to Malta.
Group 2:
How can we grow crops
without any water?
Group 3 :
Water is needed by the unborn
foetus to keep it warm and to help it
move.
Groups 4, 5 and 6 all focussed on the idea that oceans are
a habitat for several organisms, mainly fish, birds and
mammals and reptiles.
Group 7:
This group thought
about the camels that
are so deprived of
water!
Group 8:
A member of this group
thinks that water lilies are
simply wonderful...how
will they survive without
water?
Group 9 :
Since we had finished discussing biodiversity as a topic, this group
thought about the crustaceans, mosses, fungi all of which depend
on moisture for their survival!
The groups focussed mainly on biodiversity….maybe because it was
the syllabus topic being discussed at that moment. However, in the
after discussion , other uses of water were also discussed, mainly the
importance of cleanliness at home, in hospitals and also as an
individual! Somebody also commented that the human body
consists of around 70% water!
We are sure there are several
other uses of water. An endless
list!! So the only valid conclusion
is: Save on water...our future
depends on it :)
