BASF Multicolor Solution
-- A 100% water borne coating
BASF Multicolor Solution is a W/W system base
on Acrylic binder
It is a pair of two water borne acrylic
dispersions giving the full system for
multicolored coating.
The cured film is extremely durable and may
be washed repeatedly without causing
damage.

It is a water in water emulsion (gel) that remains
like a paint

Basically, the colored particles
(pigments) are ‘capsules’ with
tinted coatings sealed inside.
The size is varies from 0.5mm to
several millimeters.
And continuous phase is a kind of clear paint. A transparent film will be
formed after it dried

Acronal® 7077
A binder for base paints which will yield color capsules after
react with Acronal® 7099. It is an acrylic emulsion with
moderate flexibility.
Acronal® 7099
A binder for continuous phase, which will react with base paint
(Acronal® 7077) and get color particles. And it is the carrier for
color particles, which will form a clear film
Additives
BASF offer various additives for the system such as Dispex®,
Rheovis® thickener, Foamaster®/Foamstar® etc.
Colorants
BASF Luconyl® colorants are also be recommended.
