Your Journey. Our Focus.
….but by love serve one another. Galations 5:13b
Are you being led to fill one of these positions?
It’s never too late to serve.
Our audio/visual team needs volunteers willing to learn the ins and outs of our weekly operation, so we can form rotating teams.
The safety team needs more volunteers to patrol the property during worship services.
The nursery needs volunteers to watch over our youngest family members.

A PASTOR’S PONDERINGS
While preaching on Christ being
our burden bearer, a preacher
raised his glass of water and asked,
“How heavy is this glass of water?”
As folks thought about the answer,
the preacher said, “The absolute
weight doesn't matter. It depends
on how long I try to hold it. If I hold
it for a minute, that's not a problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an
ache in my right arm. If I hold it for
a day, you may need to call
an ambulance. In each case, it's the
same weight, but the longer I try to
hold it, the heavier it becomes.”
What a wonderful yet simple
illustration about the burdens we all
carry. Sooner or later, as our
burden becomes increasingly
heavy, the moment will come when
we won't be able to carry on in our
own power.
The burdens of this life can be too
hard to bear at times, so let me leave
you today with these very
comforting words of Jesus…
Come unto me, all ye that labor
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find
rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy,
and my burden is light.
(Matthew 11 : 28–30)

Missionaries of the Week
Kirk & Karen Kirkland have four
children and are serving as church
planters in Ohio.
“We moved to Cincinnati to plant Revive City Church. I realize now we were crazy. I walked away from a steady paycheck, and my wife was nine months pregnant,” Kirk explains. “When we started, we had no denomination or network behind us. We felt alone.” They started their first church in a downtown, multi-ethnic area with great spiritual need. In 2016, they prayed about starting a second church. Only this time, they knew they did not have to do it alone. “That’s when we became a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, and it’s the best move we ever made,” says Kirk. As Southern Baptist church planting missionaries, the Kirklands received the support to successfully launch a second church and expand their community outreach ministries. They now are looking forward to planting additional churches as God leads. They ask us to PRAY for the church leaders to develop disciples and multiply small groups throughout the Cincinnati metro area. PRAY for their plans to plant a third church.
