Bangalore – Waste Management - NDTV

A major garbage dumping ground in Bangalore was shut a couple of days ago after protests

by local villagers and the intervention of the Pollution Control Board. The residents of the IT

hub have thereafter been illegally dumping their garbage at different locations. The result is

a stinking city.

Bangalore – Waste Management - NDTV

The garden city is battling with tonnes of garbage which has been left to rot on the road,

due to the closure of a waste disposal site. Even though the corporation has begun clearing

the waste, it will be some time before the roads in Bangalore can be reclaimed. And the

citizens only hope its sooner rather than later.
