• How to use this game
• 1. This game is intended for “edu-tainment”. You can use it for preparing students to discuss waste management issues or as a review of some basic information. To leave the game at anytime, press the Esc button on your keyboard.
• 2. When playing the game, it is important to remember to click on the answer you think is most correct. If you click on the graphic you will be returned to the game screen. If you click elsewhere you will be shown the next question. After you have seen the slide “Yes” or “Sorry”, click on the graphic to return to the game screen. Answers are found on slide #33.
• 3. The game can be played individually or by the class using a data projector and screen.• 4. You are welcome to copy the material for classroom use. • 5. Suggested variations:
- Print out the slides. Make a bulletin board display with strings and have students match the question to the answer.- Provide noise makers for the students to “buzz” in to answer. If a student or team answers incorrectly, the next team to buzz in can have a chance to answer. - Take a paper copy of the slides with you to the Brightwater Science and Environmental Centre camp. During the evening, divide the class into three or four teams and challenge them with the questions.
