oPresident Obama signed the extension on March 4, 2011
o Extends Coordinated Border Infrastructure (CBI) Funds
FY 2011 Budget
• President Obama signed FY 2011 Budget on Friday, April 15th, 2011.
• Current budget will expire at the end of September, 2011.
President’s FY 2012 Budget Proposal
2012 Budget Request includes a total of $129 Billion for USDOT
o $556 Billion Six –Year surface reauthorization request
o $50 Billion “Up-Front” economic boost to foster job creation
o $2.2 B for “Cross-Border” Transportation to improve the condition of LPOEs facilities at border crossing locations
FY 2012 Budget
o The U.S. House passed 2012 Budget Blueprint that cuts $6.2 Trillion over next 10 years• Reduces 30% from current
baseline levels• From $58 Billion to $40.5 Billion• Eliminates General Fund
transfers into the Highway Trust Fund
