Washing Instructions
Organically tanned skins are natural, untreated wool and leather and are machine washable
• Wash using a cool wash at 30C using the Silk cycle, if this
is not an option on your machine use the Wool / Hand-wash cycle
• Use a gentle washing powder and if you wish, you can add a little fabric softener
• When the cycle has finished give your sheepskin a gentle shake, if it still has water in give it another spin cycle to remove as much excess water as possible
• Once removed from the washing machine hold the sheepskin by the base and give it a good shake to remove the creases and bring the fleece up
• Please DO NOT tumble dry as this will ruin the sheepskin • Place your sheepskin over the washing line fleece side
out, folded roughly in half so that the skin is not exposed • Once the fleece is dry bring the sheepskin back indoors • Place your sheepskin over the back of a chair or an airer
with the skin side up – Please do not have it near any direct heat source (e.g. Radiator, Fire, Direct Sunlight), or the sheepskin will go hard
• Periodically as you go past the Sheepskin give it a good shake, this helps to keep the back supple
• A dog brush can be used to comb the fleece to re-fluff it.
