DIN 50930/6 states the conditions (alloying con­stituents) needed for brass to meet the requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV). Responsible use of drinking water as a resource requires materials suitable for drinking water to be used consistently.

DVGW. Only those units that meet the recognised rules of technology may be assembled within drinking

hygiene on electronic wash basin fittings from SCHELL. The fittings trigger a flow of water for 20 sec­onds every 24 hours after the last use to prevent water stagnating in the pipelines.

Legionella flush.A 5 minute water flow can be pro­grammed for thermal disinfection on most electronic wash basin fit­tings with a mixed water function to flush the system through with 70 °C hot water. This means that the fittings also support require­ments laid down in the DVGW worksheet W551.

Robustness.The design of the fittings, their all­metal casing and the materials' robustness make the units much harder to vandalise. Consequently service costs and downtimes are reduced to a minimum.

Tested quality.Hygienic and robust for everyday use.

The fight against germs. Many people still lack essential infor­mation when it comes to the fight against germs. Most people con­tinue to think that infections are air­borne through sneezing, whereas in most cases they are passed on by hand contact. This is why the most important piece of advice is: Wash your hands thoroughly. With SCHELL.

Piezoelectric P. Battery­operated, electronic self­closing fittings with piezoelectro­nics are ideal for any location and suitable both for high­use sanitary rooms and for private guest WCs.In contrast to conventional, hydrau­lically controlled self­closing systems, the opening impulse on this fitting is controlled by a piezo­electric component that is inte­grated vandal­proof inside the head part of the fitting. The start and stop function of the fitting is con­trolled by lightly pressing the piezo­electric button. The water flow can be individually and accurately limit­ed to between 4 and 120 seconds, irrespective of the water pressure: a plus point for both ecology and economy. A stagnation flush can be programmed to flush every 24 hours after the last use for areas with more demanding hygiene require­ments.

Infrared E. Electronic wash basin fittings with infrared sensor control the flow of water conveniently, contact­free and in response to the need for water. This prevents germ transfer to the fittings and therefore stops germs being passed on to other people. Depending on the design, the electronic unit has 4 or 5 adjust able programs, such as a stagnation flush every 24 hours after the last use and a cleaning stop. The selectable legionella flush provides extra hygiene.The fittings can either be operated by battery or mains power. They are available for mixed (hot and cold) water or cold and/or pre­mixed water and are particularly suited to high­use sanitary rooms.

Single­leverSelf­closing

Self-closing SC. The hydraulically controlled self­closing fittings for mixed (hot and cold) water or cold and/or pre­mixed water were developed for the high strain of public, semi­ public and commercial sanitary rooms. The fittings are exception­ally reliable to operate and low­maintenance due to the innovative, corrosion­proof, durable plastic cartridge technology. The operat­ing button only needs to be pressed lightly to activate the flow of water. Depending on the model, the flow time can be adjusted to between 6 and 15 seconds, or fixed at about 7 seconds. All self­closing fittings share an all­metal design which makes them particularly robust against mechanical influences.

Single-lever EH. The single­lever mixers are an alter­native for applications where the water flow is to be regulated me­chanically. The fittings are designed for reliable continuous operation and are ideally suited not only for sanitary rooms but also for private bathrooms.

VENUS E. The elegantly curved linear design of the VENUS E stands for luxu­rious tastes, providing genuine effi ciency to wash basins. The high, slender draw­off outlet encases the contact­free, need­responsive water control unit. VENUS E meets high hygiene requirements with low running costs and has the same technical features as the PURIS E. The curved design of the fitting makes it easy to clean.

CELIS E.The CELIS E electronic wash basin tap is a robust fitting with minimal installation height and well­balanced proportions. Its timeless design, contact­free operation and an optionally selectable stagnation flush make it a perfect component with which to equip public, semi­public and commercial sanitary rooms. On the battery­operated design, the battery compartment is located out of sight under the wash basin so it is also easy to maintain.

PURIS E. The PURIS E electronic wash basin tap perfectly unites both high standards of function and of design PURIS E meets the highest demands of hygiene and economic effi ciency. The electronic module with its 5 selectable fl ush programs, inc. stagnation fl ush, legionella fl ush and cleaning stop, meet the needs of every situation. An LED display indicates if the battery is low. The mains connection can either a concealed adapter or by a plug­in power adapter. The fi tting is availa­ble as a cold water version, mixed water version, or as a low pressure mixed (hot and cold) water version for a particularly economical fl ow of just 5 l/min. PURIS E was award­ed the Design Plus Award for its outstanding design.

PETIT SC.The PETIT SC for cold and pre­mixed water is an exceptionally robust self­closing wash basin tap for tough use in public and com­mercial sectors. The fitting is option ally available with a twist security which provides additional protection against vandalism. The flow volume of just 6.0 l/min ensures economical water usage.PETIT SC is also avai la ble as a self­closing wall­mounted draw­off tap.

TIPUS P.SCHELL is extending its range of self­closing wash basin fittings with the TIPUS P, an electronic design that is as attractive as it is robust. The piezoelectric button which is integrated into the fitting cover ensures convenient and easy operation. The piezoelectric button controls the start/stop function and closes the fitting before expiry of the preset flow time which can be set to between 4 and 120 seconds, thereby contributing to eco­nomical water usage. A stagnation flush can be pro­grammed to flush every 24 hours after the last use for areas with more demanding hygiene re quire­ments. The casing is as attractive as it is robust.TIPUS P is an accurate, self­closing wash basin fitting for operation with cold water and pre­mixed water.

PURIS SC.This self­closing tap range in a robust, all­metal design with innovative cartridge technology ensures high water savings.The fittings can in particular be used in commercial washrooms due to the simple flow time ad ­juster. PETIT SC.The PETIT SC is also available as a wall­mounted draw­off outlet as an alternative to the successful PETIT SC self­closing wash basin tap. This exceptionally robust fitting for cold or pre­mixed water, and its economical flow volume of just 5 l/min are especially suited to public and commercial wash basins arranged in a line. The flow time can be adjusted to between 6 and 15 seconds. The wall surround forms an attractive rosette and an extension is optionally available.

LINUS W-SC concealed wall-mounted draw-off outlet.The LINUS fittings series was devel­oped for public and commercial sanitary rooms with tough condi­tions of use. The LINUS W­SC wall­mounted draw­off tap with self­closing technology is available for mixed (hot and cold) water or pre­mixed water. All LINUS wall­mounted draw­off taps are availa­ble with a chrome­plated front panel or an exceptionally durable stainless steel front panel. The straight wall­mounted draw­off outlets with integrated spray regu­lator (theft­proof) are available in three different lengths. The water path inside the concealed master box has an isolating valve, a filter and a backflow preventer. The flow time can be adjusted to between 5 and 20 seconds.
