Review Mixed season in a highly
competitive league. Only just missed
out on premiership badminton
losing to Strathclyde
Good league campaign with a 4-4
stand out result v eventual winners
Cambridge 1sts.
In a league of their own –
absolutely smashed everyone in the
league. Played 6 Won 6 – Nuff said.

Review Impressive season finishing as
runners up in a tough league. Like
the men had a chance of premiership
badminton but missed out only on
set difference v Manchester.
Tough season for the newly
promoted team. Will learn from the
campaign and look to bounce back
next year. Picked up decent draw at
Bedford.

on after a below par start looking to
defend their title. Robbed of a place
in the Trophy Final v Aberdeen
(don’t ask)
Finished fourth in a very tight
league they could have won. Will be
pleased with the progress the team

the fencers. Only challenged by
Oxford 2s all season. Breezed to
victory in both competitions and
will retake their place in tier 1 next
year.
After a year out womens fencing
returned for Warwick. Played over
two weekends the team will be
pleased with the season. Highlight
victory v Swansea in the Cup.

Review Won the league (twice) in their
debut BUCS football focus year.
Were strong defensively. Highlight
of the season was the emphatic 6-0
thumping they gave Staffs 1sts. Tier
1 beckons.
Following last year’s promotion the
main objective was to survive and
that they did. Great turnaround
after Christmas. Professional
approach.

Review Extremely inconsistent. Highlights
were drawing twice with Coventry
2nds. Will walk away with mixed
feelings in a league they could have
challenged for.
Like to refer to themselves as the
“academy team” and went all season
unbeaten. Early wins laid the
platform for a memorable season in
which they can be extremely proud.

competitive league. Stand out result

Again made progress after a tough
start in a big division. Encouraging

Review Largely disappointing season for
warwick finest golfers in a league
they won last year. Missed out to
Leeds Met in premier league playoff.
Need to find the eye of the tiger
next year.
Didn’t make the progress they
hoped and disappointed not to make
the conference cup final. The club
have promised silverware next
season.

Review Lost a lot of close matches and if
these had been different had a real
chance of staying up but relegation
to tier 2 it is.
Early losses were their downfall.
Turned it around at the backend of
the season including a team of the
week 1-0 win v Leicester but it was
too late to keep them up.

could have turned draws into wins
could have challenged oxford 2s for

Review Warwick Sport’s team of the season
winning promotion back to tier 1.
Some thumping wins along the way.
Scoring 24 goals in their last 4
games.
Lost their first 6 matches but turned
it around remarkably winning 3 of
their last 4 matches. Relegation
playoff so it’s all to play for the
girls in navy.
Following last season’s promotion
found the step hard difficult. Some
encouraging performances most
notably v Staffs. Will look to
bounce back next season.

Review A tale of 2 halves. Were magic
winning their 1st 5 matches and
looked on course to win the big one
as well as being the warwick sport
team of the term but threw it all
away and were eliminated in the 1st
round of the championships.
Really encouraging season for the
ladies. Thrashed Edinburgh and
Newcastle then pushed L’boro close.
Got revenge on Manchester in the
knockouts. All round decent season.

Review Slightly hit and miss season. Would
have liked to finish above arch rival
Worcester.
Unlucky not to finish higher as
there was nothing between 2nd, 3
rd

Nottingham and Bham along the
way
A good season for the 3s. Narrowly
lost to winners Harper Adams by
one point-could have challenged for
the league after 6 wins on the trot

Review Was always going to be a tough ask
to survive in Rugby’s premier
division. Picked up a good win v
Sheffield Hallam back in November
and lost a couple of narrow
matches. Gained a lot from the
experience.
Would be looking to finish at the
top end of the table and only missed
out on the runners up spot on
points difference against Bham 3rds.
Went on a 5 match winning streak

happy and were only displaced by

Review With be more than happy with their
season. There is big potential for
Warwick in tennis and the most
notably result came in beating Bham

Struggled in the same league as the
1sts. Improved to the end of the
season picking up a good win v
Lboro & Bath. Relegation will be a
hard pill to swallow.
Was on the receiving end of some
close battles and were probably a
bit better than 7th. Will look to
