Instructional ClassesKempoThis is an instructional program

designed to teach the fundamentals and importance of sports and exercise as well as physical conditioning.

This class is a combination of both hard and soft styles of martial arts, utilizing hard techniques such as kicking, punching, and blocking, as well as soft techniques similar to Brazilian Jui Ji Tsu. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Pee Wee (ages 4 - 6), 6 - 6:45 p.m., Juniors (ages 7 - 15), 6:45 - 7:45 p.m. and Seniors (ages 16 & older), 7:45 - 8:45 p.m. Pee Wee class is $30. Other classes, cost is $40. Discounts for more than one family member are available. Sign up at the Youth Center.

Instructional Dance LessonsAvailable for ages 3-18. Adult

classes are also available. Cost of lessons start at $46. Discounts are offered for families with multiple students.

School Age Program School Age Program has openings

for Before and After School care. Schools that bus to the Youth Center include Freedom, Demming/Miller, Afflerbach, Henderson, Alta Vista and Pioneer Park. Fees for the program are based on total family income. Please stop by the Youth Center to pick up a registration package today!

Give Parents a Break will be held Dec. 6, 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. GPAB is held at the Child Development Cen-ter (CDC) for ages 6 weeks – 5 years and the Youth Center for ages 6 – 12 years. Get a referral slip, register your child at the CDC and make a reserva-tion no later than the Monday prior to the GPAB date. Referral slips can be obtained from a commander, first sergeant, chaplain, Airman and Family Readiness Center, Family Advocacy, Mental Health, Youth Center or Child Development Center. is currently deployed and/or will be deployed during the holiday season, this event is for you and your family. The A&FRC has teamed up with the First Sergeants Group for this year’s Angel Tree program. You continue to show resiliency while serving our country and Missile Wing mission as your spouse is deployed. We applaud you and would like to extend another opportunity to show some gratitude with generous donations from the Air Force Asso-ciation and other agencies across FE Warren AFB during this holiday season. Dec. 14 - Snowy Range Snow-mobile Tour (Single Airmen) The Snowy Range is one of the finest snowmobiling areas in the world. With 320 miles of groomed and un-groomed trails, Medicine Bow National Forest has a combined 1,000,000 acres in southeast Wyoming with thousands of acres of open meadows. No area can boast more consistent powder. This adventure is sure to be a thrill you’ll never forget. We will depart Outdoor Recreation at 6:30 a.m. and return approximately 2 p.m. Bring money for lunch and something warm to drink after 4 hours on a snow machine. Cost is $40 and includes protective winter gear, transportation and your snowmobile rental. Trip is limited to 14.

Dec. 21 - Winter Park Ski/Snowboard Trip (Single Airmen) Located just 67 miles from downtown Denver on the west side of the Con-tinental Divide, Winter Park Resort offers over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, 25 lifts, 5 terrain parks and a new slopeside village including restau-rants and shops. Join us for the day as we explore the slopes and beautiful snowy mountainside. The cost is $40 and includes transportation, lift ticket and ski or snowboard rental. We will depart Outdoor Recreation at 7 a.m. and return about 7 p.m. Trip is limited to 14.

Dec. 28 - New Belgium Brewery Tour/Downtown Ft. Collins Trip We will depart Outdoor Recreation at 10:30 a.m. for Ft. Collins. After touring the brewery, we will explore historic downtown Ft. Collins. We will return approximately 4 p.m. A $10 fee includes transportation and tour. Bring spending money for food and souve-nirs.

Youth Program is partnering with Outdoor Recreation to offer an Archery Instructional Day Camp, Dec. 27, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. This camp is open to youth of all skill abilities ages 9 and older. The camp is free for members of Youth Programs and $5 for non-members.

SportsFirst Steps Basketball Program

for Ages 3 - 4This is an instructional program

designed to teach young kids the fundamentals of basketball. At least one parent is required to attend and assist each child in practicing the skills of the game. The registration period is from Dec. 2 - 20 or until the class is full. The class is limited to 20 kids.

The cost is $35 per child and includes all practices and scrimmages, t-shirt for parent and child (additional t-shirts may be purchased for $12 each), basketball, and snacks after each session. The program will take place on Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 22. The program consists of 5 sessions. There will be a parent meeting for all registered participants on Tuesday Jan. 14, 6 p.m. All participants must be age 3 by Jan. 15, 2014.
