We trust your Lunar caravan to provide a longand trouble free service. However, in the eventthat you do have a problem or a fault arises, it isvital that you understand the contents of theLunar owners warranty and follow the correctprocedures to ensure you receive the full benefitof this added protection.

In the event that a fault develops with yourLunar caravan, your initial contact shouldalways be the retailer from which you purchasedyour caravan from; your retailer is with whomyour contract of sale is with and ultimately whowill be responsible for carrying out a thoroughpre-delivery inspection and arranging warrantywork which may be required together with theannual servicing.

Remember your annual service is important tomainain the validity of your warranty and mustbe carried out by an NCC or Lunar ApprovedService Centre using genuine parts,recommended sealants and following Lunarprocedures, failure to do so will invalidate yourwarranty.

Your Lunar warranty is conditional on annualservicing being carried out within 60 dayseither side of the anniversary of the purchasedate for interim years. Your service handbookmust be stamped accordingly.

Lunar Caravans will cover the total cost ofany labour and parts free of charge providingthere is a full service history and the thirdservice was carried out before theanniversary date of the final year.

Lunar Caravans reserves the right toexamine the caravan prior to commencementof repairs and nominate a repairer.

No liability will be accepted for damagecaused by neglect, intrusion, lack ofservicing, over-heating, freezing or abuse(e.g. continued use after failure has becomeevident, thus exacerbating the problem)

Warranty CoverAll Lunar Caravans are supplied with a 6year body shell integrity warranty and a 3year manufacturers backed warranty fromthe date of purchase which is conditional onannual servicing being carried out within 60days either side of the anniversary of thepurchase date, except the third servicewhich should be carried prior to the 3rdanniversary date of the final year.

The warranty extends to the following items:

Body Leaks & Delamination

Lunar Caravans will cover water ingressthrough any permanently sealed seam jointsand delamination of panels and floor, beingpart of the caravan's original construction.3 Year manufacturers warranty

First 12 Months

The first 12 months of the LunarManufacturers warranty will cover allcomponents and parts and faults arisingfrom manufacturing defects but not thosewhich are the result of normal wear and tearor those that relate to Tyres, Bulbs andFluorescent Tubes & Fuses.

2nd & 3rd Year Cover

In the event of a claim after 12 months frompurchase, Lunar will require acceptable proofof servicing which will be the fully detailedoriginal VAT service invoice. Failure to keep/provide such records and information willinvalidate the warranty claim.

During the second and third years Lunar willnot cover those items which are the result ofnormal wear and tear or those related to,Tyres, Bulbs and Fluorescent Tubes andFuses.

Not covered are faults arising from accidentaldamage or damage caused by the misuse ofany component part of the caravan.Thecleaning or adjustment of any assemblies isnot covered in years two and three.

2nd & 3rd Year Cover extends to:

Cooker

The cooker unit including burners, grill, ovenand flame failure device and igniters.

Fridge

Door seal, condenser, gas igniter, flamefailure device, 12 & 230v heater elements,gas thermostat, 230v thermostat, 230vtemperature control switch.

Water system

Water heater, water pump, water gauges,fresh water tank.

WARRANTY

Cassette Toilet

The cassette toilet is covered (excludesseals, valves and glands).

Auxiliary Electrics

Battery charger and distributor unit, interiorlights (excludes bulbs) mains hook upconnector, ECLB.

Heating system

Switches, control unit, gas heater, flamefailure device, igniter (excluding ducting andfittings) thermostat, motor.

Chassis

All chassis member including outriggers.

Towing Mechanism

All mechanical components fitted to tourers.(This excludes electrics).

Braking systems

All mechanical linkage, backing plates,actuators, drums and shoes. (The warrantydoes not cover damage to brake drums,shoes or any faults caused through misuse ofthe braking system or normal wear and tear).

Suspension

Spring, hangers, shackle pins, shockabsorbers and mountings.

Running Gear

Axles, hubs, hub bearings, hub oil seals, roadwheels (this excludes tyres and tubes).

Lunar Caravans Limited 6 yearwarranty is offered subject to thefollowing Terms & Conditions:-

The above offer of warranty is subject to theterms and conditions listed below;

1. That an authorised Lunar ApprovedService centre has carried out a fullservice, including damp test, annuallyfrom the date of purchase as new (orwithin 60 days of the anniversary date).

2. The warranty holder must ensure that thecaravan is regularly maintained inaccordance with the manufacturersrecommendations and retain receiptsand/or records to substantiate regularmaintenance.

3. No work should be commenced underthe terms of warranty unless priorauthorisation is obtained from LunarCaravans Limited.

4. The manufacturer identification (VehicleIdentification Number - V.I.N) of thecaravan must not have been removed ordefaced.

5. The caravan must not have beenoverloaded or used for pace making,reliability trials, scrambling, speed testingor other competitive purposes, hire orreward or have had any modifications.

6. The caravan has not been subjected toany collision, impact or accident.

7. The warranty holder must notify in writingto the dealer the alleged defect within 14days of discovering it, with sufficientparticulars including the V.I.N to enablethe defect to be clearly rectified.

8. The caravan must only be used in theUnited Kingdom other than a temporaryuse for the purpose of a holiday outsidethe United Kingdom and must not beused as permanent residence.

9. The seams and panels requiring repairare part of the original construction of thetourer and have not been tampered withor repaired otherwise other than byLunar Caravans Limited or an authorisedLunar Caravans Service Centre.

10. Only private cars or 4x4 type vehiclessubstituting as private cars, shall havetowed the caravan.

11. The online warranty registration formavailable at www.lunarcaravans.comshould be submitted.

12. The third annual service must be carriedout before the expiry of the 36 monthwarranty period from the original date ofpurchase.

13. That in the event of any repairs beingidentified as necessary during the courseof an annual inspection the caravan is

made available to an authorised Lunardealer within 6 weeks for the purpose ofcarrying out the repair work.

14. Lunar Caravans Limited's liability underthis agreement shall be limited tosupplying labour and materials of a valuenot exceeding £2,500 including VAT inrespect of each claim or series of claims.No liability arises out of this agreementfor consequential costs or damage or forrepair costs (other than labour andmaterials).

15. Dealers have no authority to bind tomake any undertaking on behalf of LunarCaravans Limited.

Your legal rights are neither affected norprejudiced against the supplying dealerand/or the manufacturer.

Change of Ownership - Transfer ofLunar Warranty

The warranty may be transferred to a newowner if the caravan is sold. This is providingthe caravan has been serviced by anapproved Lunar Service Centre. The detailsof change of ownership should be forwardedto Lunar Caravans, After Sales Department,Sherdley Road, Lostock Hall, Preston, PR55JF by completing the change of ownershipform enclosed at the back of this booklet andby providing purchase history and anadministration payment chargeable on

transfer of £25 to have the new ownersdetails recorded on our database.

Service Intervals

Prior to delivery of your new Lunar, yoursupplying dealer will have completed anextensive pre-delivery inspection to ensureevery item is to the standard.

The caravan must be serviced within 12months of the date of purchase, thereafterthe caravan must be serviced as per thedetails in the Service Checklist every 12months. The book must be stampedaccordingly.

The interval from purchase date to the firstservice, and the intervals between services,must not exceed the stipulated period bymore than 6 weeks and in any case theextended warranty ends 3 years from thedate of purchase.

Servicing

It is a requirement that the caravan isserviced in accordance with the scheduleson the checklist. (Failure to do so willinvalidate the warranty cover). All suchservices are chargeable and must be carriedout by an authorised Lunar dealer.

Repairs

Repairs can only be undertaken by aregistered Lunar repairer. In the event ofdispute Lunar reserve the right to subjectthe caravan to expert assessment andnominate a repairer.

No liability will be accepted for damagecaused by neglect, intrusion, lack ofservicing, over-heating, freezing or abuse(e.g. continued use after failure hasbecome evident, thus exacerbating theproblem).

To claim

In the event of a claim, your first contactshould always be with your supplyingdealer.

Lunar need to have had:1. Received details of the caravan via

the online warranty registration form.Your supplying dealer should havealso pre-registered your caravanpurchase with Lunar.

2. In the event of a claim after 12 monthsfrom purchase, Lunar will requireacceptable proof of servicing whichwill be the fully detailed, original VATservice invoice.

3. A record of each service should berecorded and stamped in the 'ServiceRecord' section of the (separate) ServiceHandbook.

4. Failure to keep/provide such records andinformation will invalidate the claim.

In order to comply with the Warranty, youmust have your caravan inspected andserviced by an authorised appointed Dealer,covering the items listed, at least once peryear.

It is important that the Owner's Handbook isstamped on the appropriate page by theappointed Servicing Dealer. Failure to do thiswill invalidate the warranty.

In the event of a claim, Lunar will requireacceptable proof of servicing which will bethe fully detailed, original VAT serviceinvoice.

A record of each service should be recordedand stamped in the section in this book.
