Executive

The president-enforces laws-Commander and chief-conducts foreign affairs-cabinet includes secretaries of the 14 executive departments -Signs bills into law or (veto's)

The Queen/Prime Minister-The Queen is the figure head-The Queen appoints the prime minister - Prime Minister in charge of day to day activity

Legislative

Parliament-Two bodies-House of Commons and the Senate-Determine the laws and policies-The leader is the Prime Minister-Senators are chosen by the prime minster

Congress-Two houses-House and Senate-Senate= 50 members-House= 435 members-Shared and separate responsibilities-Writes and approves bills

Judicial

Supreme Court-Made up of the chief Justice and 8 other justices-Determine cases which have been appealed from the provincial courts

Supreme Court (U.S)

-Made up of the chief Justice and 8 other justices- Ensures laws and treaties are constitutional
