DESCRIPTION
This was the presentation given to 100+ largely recruitment / HR professionals at the Reconverse RecFest 2014. The brief was to "challenge the industry" - so as a tech provider (we created HARBOUR ATS) we wanted to challenge people to be straight with each other. Cut through the BS, get the basics right and understand that what's being punted to them as "what everyone else is doing" is seldom actually based on anything other than PR and sales spin intended to generate the demand for services being sold. • Your “needs” should be clear, but can you honestly say you’ve nailed that level?
• Your “wants” maybe less specific, maybe harder to achieve, but ensure they’re:– Set out - & everyone’s aware of where they sit
– Clear on what’s deliverable
– Regularly monitored & reviewed

• Confess your insecurities (in a corporate recruitment sense)
• Is there anything you might really want to know?This is what today is about - ask your peers. Ask them NOW!
• Talk openly about RECRUITMENT porn experiences
– What have you tried that was disappointing / not for you?
– What was actually brilliant & you think others should “dabble in”?
– What do you fantasize about? (in a RECRUITMENT sense!!)
