PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
We are a Community of Disciples Gathering at the Banquet Table Joyfully Proclaiming Jesus Christ
Celebrating our Gifts of Prayer, Hospitality, Faith Formation and Service.
LENTEN REGULATIONS
1. ABSTINENCE-Everyone 14 years of age and over is bound to abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday and all the Fridays of Lent. To disregard completely the law of fast and abstinence is seriously sinful.
SCHOOL SECURITY
As a result of the school shootings that are becoming too common, we have asked ASI security to help us add protection to our school through an improved intercom entry system so we can clearly identify those who come to the doors before letting them in. Mrs. Bliven will also be able to lock down the school with a button in her office. The cost of these improve-ments will be about $10,000. Any donations to this means to protect our students can be sent to the school or placed in the collection.
CHAPLAIN WORK
I will be gone for about a week to be with the Cardinals in Spring Training in Jupiter, Florida. This is a great opportunity to be with the players and staff in a less stressful setting. (I do kinda wish they would help pay for it!) I will celebrate Mass in the Cardinals clubhouse after the Saturday game. I will be back on Wednesday, March 13.
BLESSED SACRAMENT LIVE
I am in need of someone to coordinate showing the Masses from our parish on Facebook live. I would love to be able to broadcast all of our Masses if possible. I believe we have all the equipment we need, but we need someone with the technical know-how. My hope is we could have a person for each Mass to make this happen.
OUR NEED UNDER $7,500!
Contributions for this important improvement in our Church have reached 3/4 of the cost. This has been reached from less than 1/2 of our regular contributors. If everyone helps, we will reach our goal soon! Please consider a donation for this by using one of the envelopes in the pews.

School News Council of Catholic Women
The Council of Catholic Women are sponsoring their annual ladies breakfast on Sunday, March 11, 2018 following the 8:00 a.m. Mass. Cost is $8.00. You may bring it to the breakfast, put it in the Sunday collection, drop it off at the office or mail it in.
Christian Family Camp Looking for a great idea for vacation this summer that is also a retreat for the WHOLE family? Look no further! Christian Family Camp (aka CFC) has been going on since the 1960s, and was started by the friars from Quincy! It is held at Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton, Illinois and has been a tremendous source of transformative family relationships and building life-long friendships with other families.
FUN! Swimming! Hiking! Activities! Campfires! Singing! Crafts!
There are two one-week sessions:
Week 1: July 8-14 and
Week 2: July 15-21
If interested, please contact Fr. Bob [email protected] or 222-2898

Thursday, March 22, 1:00-3:00
Second grade teacher, Liz Lowenberg, recently captured a private, prayerful moment in her classroom when she
found Leo Cramer praying before he began his science test. What a beautiful image of Leo’s faith and trust in God!
If you have changed your phone number or moved to a new location with a new address, please contact the Parish Office so we can update our records. Thank you.
