    Be one of the first sixty participants to register at the Durr Branch and receive; Walktober T -Shirt! (Sizes are limited.), Frisbees(donated by the City of Independence), and Pedometers (donated by Clever Crazes for Kids).

    Mark off your dates as you walk your way through Walktober!

    Participants who turn in their Walktober logs at the Durr Branch will be eligible for the Grand Drawing! Logs must be turned in beforeclosing on November 4.

    Walktober logs will drawn at random for additional prize packages including;$20 gift cards donated by the Durr Branch of the Kenton County Library $20 gift cards donated by Tri-State Running CompanyOne Month Memberships at Curves, Independence

    *Check with your doctor before beginning any exercise program. *Dont forget to warm-up and cool-down.

    *Wear proper shoes and comfortable clothing.

    *Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!*Walk with a friend and keep each other motivated. (Dogs are friends!) *Use a walking log such as www.mapmywalk.com to track your progress.

    *If youre new to walking for exercise, build up your time slowly. *Always walk with good posture.*Arm motion helps burn calories! Bend your elbows 90 degrees.*Walking is a great stress reliever.*Have fun and make walking a family event.*Find or start a local walking club.
