Message from our Principal
Mr. Doug Savage
Attendance line (24-hour answering machine): 513-575-4017.
Parents should call by 9:05 am (school start time) the day of the absence.
The BES annual Talent Show will be on Friday January 26th at 7:00pm. Good
luck to all participating students! Come check it out! Valentines Day parties
(grades K –3 only) will be held on the 14th. Individual grades will share times.
Our PBIS program, for emphasizing and teaching character traits, has engaged
students in our “LiveSchool” points, allowing students to “shop” our on-line
store for various incentives. This year, many students have enjoyed
“experience” rewards — including pizza with the principal, BES Cafe, and
reading to other classes.
Sixth Grade Information:
Next week, sixth grade students will take a math and reading assessment
(AimsWeb Plus) that will provide academic data to the Junior High staff for
scheduling and class placement purposes. The students will take the reading
and math assessments on separate days, with each assessment taking no more
than an hour’s time.
On Tuesday, January 30th, staff from the Junior High will meet with sixth
graders to begin the process of discussing schedules and an overall question /
answer session. The following day, January 31st, Junior High staff will meet
with sixth grade parents in a meeting at 7:30pm, in the BES cafeteria.
