In addition to his work as Founder and Artistic Director with the Group, Josh has directed more than a dozen productions for the group, including; Fun Home; The Pleiades; The Pirates of Penzance or, The Slave of Duty; The Skin of Out Teeth; New and Dangerous Ideas; Spring Awakening; The Lieutenant of Inishmore; The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity; Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead; Blasted, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, This Beautiful City, Detroit, Ui [oo-ey], and The Threepenny Opera. As an actor with the Wilbury Group he appeared in Gruesome Playground Injuries, Straight White Men, Ui [oo-ey], and the group's inaugural production, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. In 2014 Josh founded FRINGEPVD The Providence Fringe Festival. Featuring 50 handpicked artists in just 5 venues throughout downtown Providence that first year, today FRINGEPVD is a voting member of the United States Association of Fringe Festivals and the World Fringe Congress and has grown to become the largest fringe theatre festival in New England. In addition to his work with The Wilbury Group and FRINGEPVD, Josh has worked with Gloucester Stage Company, Perishable Theatre, The Gamm Theatre, The LaJolla Playhouse, The Gaslamp Quarter Drama Department, The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival, and The Providence Black Repertory Company, where he served as Associate Producer from 2008-2010. A proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, a national theatrical labor union, he serves as a member of Congressman Jim Langevin's Arts and Culture Advisory Committee, and as a mentor with the Rhode Island Foundation's Emerging Leaders program. A native Rhode Islander and graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Josh lives in southern R.I. with his wife Christine and their three children: Olivia, Raegan, and Jackson.

Max Ponticelli, General Manager Max Ponticelli is proud to serve as the General Manager for Providence’s award-winning Wilbury Theatre Group, having previously worked as one of their resident designer, technical director, and consultants on such productions as Fun Home, Constellations, Hype Man: a break-beat play, How I Learned to Drive and at the WaterFire Arts Center for FRINGEPVD, where he's served as the festival’s on-site Technical Director since 2016. In addition to his work with The Wilbury Group, Max is also a Full-time Lecturer and Designer for the University of Rhode Island Theatre Department, instructing introductory, technical, and design courses, in addition to his student mentor responsibilities and a Part-time Faculty Member for the Clark University Theatre Department, where he also instructs a variety of classes, including the ever-popular Stage Combat course. He is also working towards his Master of Business Administration at URI. Previous to URI, Max was the Operations Manager at 2nd Story Theatre for over 9 years covering approximately 90 productions. He served as the organization’s jack-of-all-trades, having job responsibilities in one or multiple areas over the course of a production: stage manager, designer, technical director, production manager, administration, IT, facilities, front-of-house, and generally anything that needed doing including acting onstage (albeit not well). Max is a Board Member for Friends of the State Theatre, a non-profit focused on the preservation and revitalization of the historic State Theatre in Downtown Stoughton, Massachusetts. Through their work, they hope to restore and operate this regionally one-of-a-kind, atmospheric, Vaudeville theatre to serve and benefit the surrounding community. This centrally located diamond-in-the-rough would be an entertainment destination for affordable music, dance, theatre, and movies, while creating opportunities for local artists, providing educational services, and more. A proud alumnus of the University of Rhode Island, he lives in Massachusetts with his amazing wife, Amy.
