PB4L GOLD SLIP DRAWS Last Friday was the first of our new gold slip draws. At each assembly a set of gold slips will be drawn from the team gold slip box and the selected student will get to choose from Swimming passes, Movie Passes or a Flipout pass. They can then collect them on Friday after school. We are very appreciative of the kind and generous donations of CBay and Flipout in their support of promoting positive behavior like this, kia ora. Passes went to; Rotoiti Ollie Timpany Rotonui Ash Bennett Awa Mackenzie Boyd Hawai Hamiora Wilson-Steele Moana Grace Tough Congratulations to our very own Hemi Anglem (Kaiarahi support staff member) who has been selected to be part of the Tuia Leadership programme. Hemi will take part in wananga (workshops) across the country with other rangatahi (young leaders) and be mentored by our Mayor Damon Odey. Tumeke, pai mahi great work. Teacher and Principals Paid Union Meetings 21 st March Our NZEI teacher members will take part on one of two meetings being held on 21 st March. Two meetings are being held to avoid parents being disrupted so the students will remain at school. There will however be some doubling up for an hour to allow half the staff to attend the morning meeting and the other half the afternoon meeting. We are fortunate that meetings are being held on our site which further minimises the length of time involved. The current negotiations have been protracted and appear to look like they will continue in the meantime. We appreciate the support that has been shown from our parent and whanau community. We know you want a staff of high quality teachers committed to our school and education sector now and in the future. We also want them to be able to do their jobs effectively being well supported and valued and able to focus on teaching and learning.

PB4L GOLD SLIP DRAWS Last Friday was the first of our new gold slip draws. At each assembly a

set of gold slips will be drawn from the team gold slip box and the

Wai Sport The South Canterbury Triathlon was on last Thursday, and a huge

congratulations to all those that attended, special mention to

Annie Sargent for coming in third place for the year 5/6 girls.

Special thanks to Nigel Bowen for

walking the children down to the

event and Chris Peters for helping

set up the triathlon
