It was not with the sax, how-ever, that Dean drew the ap-plause but .his singing of BobMarley and the Wallers; hitsongs like "Curfew" and"Roadblock." He was wellreceived by the audiencewhich included Mayor of King-ston, Councillor Ralph Brownand Mr. Seymour Mullings,Parliamentary Secretary in theMinistry of Youth' and Com-munity Development. It wasMr. Mullings, himself a notedjazz pianist, who officially de-clared the fete open. Anotherguest in the audience was Mr,I'ptom Robotham, Parliamen-tary Secretary, Ministry ofEducation.
Mr. Mullings spoke of the oppor-tunity the m o n t h 1 y-freeconcerts will offer to thepeople who could not affordto pay to enjoy local talent.
He spoke too of. the opportunitybeing offered to the artisteswho need the chance to p'rEs-ent their talents to the public
