Hello from WAAAHOO Productions, LLC. We are delighted to have you visit San Francisco, our hometown, where every vacation outing is a “special event” carefully produced specifically for you! Our job is to make your vacation experience as memorable and hassle-free as possible. As a first step, please take a look at this complimentary destination guide for ideas that may be of interest to you during your visit. San Francisco is a world-class destination with much to offer for just about everyone; from foodies and avid cyclists to antique hounds, to die hard sports fans and artists and even a “few” techies! For your consideration, below we list a few “City by the Bay” activities and places to dine based upon my guests’ feedback and of course, my own personal favorites! Please feel free to email/call us if you’d like our help to “PRODUCE” your own customized San Francisco “must-see-and-must-do” itinerary! NO ONE knows San Francisco like we do, so simply share with us your interests & desires and allow us to take care of the details!

WAAAHOO! ~ WHAT TO DO / WHERE TO GO

Take a drive down the world’s “crookedest” street! Head down Steiner Street to Lombard Street then turn right…. stay on Lombard as you head east until you come to the top of steep one-block section that consists of (8) hairpin turns and drive down! (Hopefully, you aren’t driving a stick-shift car) AT&T Park home of the World Series Champion SF Giants - www.sfgiants.com

24 Willie Mays Plaza San Francisco, CA 94107 You are only about 3 miles from AT&T Park (I LOVE this ballpark!) It’s a park where you can watch the game from a rental boat, home runs can be “splash hits” and the breathtaking Bay view rivals the action on the field! It’s where our good ol’ American past time is played inside an architectural landmark. The stadium is great for adults, kids, tourists, Giants fans and baseball fanatics and you’ll find at least over 40 restaurants in the surrounding vicinity .The stadium is cool and the world-famous Gordon Biersch garlic fries started with this ball club!

Bay City Bike Rentals and Tours - www.baycitybike.com Bay City Bike boasts a broad stable of rental bikes for a variety of tastes you can choose your type of tour; a self, tour or daily and group guided tour. There are so many areas for biking from coastal highways and marina greens to its many hills and the historic 49 Mile Scenic Drive. If you’re really ambitious The 49 Mile Scenic Drive is an excellent introduction to San Francisco’s charms. Marked by blue-white-and-orange seagull signs, the half-day drive through the city’s most accessible scenic and historic points circuits Civic Center, Japantown, Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach and Telegraph Hill. It skirts Fisherman’s Wharf and winds past the Marina and the Palace of Fine Arts. The route passes the southern approach of the Golden Gate Bridge, winds through the Presidio, and doubles back through Golden Gate Park. After vaulting Twin Peaks it dips down to Mission Dolores and back to the bay front for a drive by the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, Ferry Building, financial district and Yerba Buena Gardens. If you’re slightly less ambitious, like me, you may want to ride through Golden Gate Park around Stowe lake, view the Bison and enjoy a picnic over by the Conservatory of Flowers or the Japanese tea garden. California Academy of Sciences- http://www.calacademy.org

WAAAHOO! ~ WHERE TO EAT

Of course you will find wonderful restaurants, diners, eateries and food trucks all over SF. You’ll discover restaurants on Fillmore Street, Union Street, Mission Street, North Beach and the Embarcadero, Japan Town or Bay Street as well as OFF THE GRID Food Truck events at Fort Mason or The SoMA StrEAT Food Park on 11th Street…but here are a few of my personal favorites!

La Folie - 2316 Polk St - www.lafolie.com 20-25 minute walk via Green Street (less than a mile) La Folie is a Michelin Star family-run restaurant that incorporates local farm to table sensibilities into gorgeous “works-of-art-on-a-plate”! From the moment I walk in I’m immediately wrapped up in a luxurious yet understated beautiful cocoon. Warm friendly faces greet me and incredible aromas entice me from the kitchen. Once a glass of bubbly is placed in my hand all my troubles just melt away!

Chef Roland Passot's Russian Hill jewel box restaurant is a “must” in my opinion. By far one of THE most exquisite dining experiences in SF; the natives have known this for the past 25+ years! Chef Roland continues to keep his hand in this kitchen and his brother George Passot and Rob Renteria “our” Sommeliers lovingly pair the most wonderful wines with each and every one of our meals! That’s why I keep going back for virtually all my special celebrations and events! From scallops & sweetbreads to lobster & mushroom risotto, to crispy duck, quail & squab to desserts sprinkled with gold, it’s heaven! LF Lounge is located next door for a less formal bite to eat such as salmon lollipops, truffle popcorn (absolutely sublime) and rich gourmet mac & cheese!

Betelnut – 2030 Union Street - www.betelnutrestaurant.com 9-10 minute walk (.35 miles) This is THE PERFECT happy hour place just a few blocks away, simply walk down the hill and turn right onto Union Street. Their fun, friendly & HAPPY servers will smile & greet you as you choose an outdoor table set up just for you to enjoy your 4pm happy hour experience! Try their small plates such as the oysters with sriracha-lemon granite or their “sui gow” chicken dumplings. Some of the favorite larger plates include the wok-fried cauliflower with tribal salt & jalapenos to the banana leaf grilled Hawaiian wahloo with ginger, kaffir-lime, lemongrass and togarashi butter.

M.Y. China – 845 Market Street (Under the Dome) - www.tastemychina.com 40-50 minute walk (2.43 miles) You may have seen him on TV but now you can experience his authentic Chinese cuisine here in SF! Martin Yen’s place is where you go to see world champion noodle dancers pull giant balls of dough into thousands of thin noodles in minutes using only their bare hands. Enjoy the hand-folded dim sum delicacies, the bang-bang chicken wings and the sautéed garlic pea shoots or try lobster SIX ways! (Seasonal menu). Taste all this & more while sitting at the bar under the “1800 pound Monastery bell” sipping a delicious concoction known as “Under The Bronze Bell” (Prosecco, ginger liqueur and St. Germain) – YUM!

Starbelly – 3583 16th St. - www.starbellysf.com 40-50 minute walk (2.3 miles) Starbelly is a casual Castro neighborhood café serving California comfort food created by Chef Adam Timney and sports a creative beer and wine-based drinks selection. When you walk in expect to feel a California-laid-back atmosphere featuring a large patio and communal table fashioned from a bowling alley lane. They serve you hearty meals for weekend brunch, lunch and dinner and they are open a little later! And you cannot miss Chef Adam’s First Tuesday’s Patio Picnics (Spring & Summer) for which he creates specialized menus including whole roasted pig, southern fried chicken and honey-maple ribs and then pairs these delectable creations with local beers and wines! Chef Adam cures his own bacon, grows his own organic vegetables and is the co-creator along with Humphry Slocombe of the Bacon-Jalapeno Jelly Ice Cream, which Chef Adam serves over a piece of sweet cornbread for dessert! The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen – 1 South Park Ave. www.theamericansf.com 80-90 minute walk (3.17 miles) They serve pretty many kinds of gourmet, quirky and regular grilled cheese sandwiches and some you couldn’t possibly imagine! They’re gooey, warm and delicious! They also serve mac & cheese (surprise!), soups, salads, fries and fresh baked goods! Not a good place for a dairy or gluten-free diet. They have outdoor seating and a kooky meets nerdy fun lively & casual crowd and it’s virtually across the street. They are open 7 days a week with extended hours on game days. Super Duper Burger – 2201 Chestnut - www.superdupersf.com 15-20 minute walk (.46 miles) Super Duper Burger is QUALITY fast food & SLOW value burgers, fries, and shakes! They are all made with the best ingredients available. The beef is 100% Niman Ranch all natural beef and they grind it fresh every day. Their shakes and cones are made with organic Straus cream from Petaluma and they bake their pies and cookies in-house for their sundaes! The menu also includes a free-range chicken breast sandwich and an organic Veggie "burger" and you can literally put your hand in the jar for HOUSE-MADE pickles as a side dish! I love that all of their packaging is compostable – because they care about our environment just as much as they care about their burgers. 5 different locations throughout SF!

Tony’s Pizza Napoletana – 1570 Stockton St - www.tonyspizzanapoletana.com 45 minute walk (1.64 miles) Tony’s is in the heart of SF’s Little Italy and it’s known for his SPECIAL prize winning thin Crust Pizza Margherita and is a World Pizza Cup Winner in Naples, Italy. The only “non-Italian” ever to win this prestigious award…but don’t just try a pizza from one of three different wood-burning ovens. And yes, Tony’s is known around the world for their pizza and it is wonderful, as is the spicy calamaria For me, THE BEST DISH EVER is not their pizza but the Spicy Chorizo Mussels! Seriously, no one else has any dish like it! I have brought my friends in JUST for this dish and they bring their friends in for it and so on and so on and so on! For more recommendations, feel free to call, text or email me! SF is a food-lovers’ town and I’m the biggest fan!
