CALL TO WORSHIP … For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever. Let us worship God.
+HYMN “The Lord Ascendeth Up on High” ASCENDIT DEUS
(Please see insert.) +PRAYER OF PRAISE (together)
Let us remain standing as we pray responsively with joy to Christ, who is seated at the right hand of God, saying: You are the king of glory! You have raised the weakness of our flesh. Heal us from our sins, and restore to us the full dignity of life. You are the king of glory! May our faith lead us to God as we follow the way that you have shown. You are the king of glory! You have promised to draw all people to yourself; let no one of us be separate from your body. You are the king of glory! Grant that we may join with you in full plan of God's shalom in which your humanity and ours is glorified. You are the king of glory! As true God from God, who will be our judge at the end, lead us to contemplate and celebrate your tender mercies, You are, indeed, the king of glory! Amen.

PRAYER CHAIN: If you would like to add someone to our prayer list or would like
to receive the prayer list for daily prayer, please go to our website www.stonepres.org and click on “Prayer Request” or call the church office at 853-2933.
HOPE HOUSE WISH LIST: This month’s wish list includes the following: Milk money, coffee,
sugar, hot chocolate, salad dressing, deodorant. Milk money: One of their most frequent purchases is
something essential in most households: milk. It is something that is not often donated and it is the best
way to meet the Food Bank's nutritional standards. Hope House uses anywhere from 28-40 gallons of milk each week! Any donation that you designate for milk will help them to meet these needs.
Please leave items in the narthex. Questions? Contact Ceil Gilbert.
DON’T FORGET TO WEAR RED NEXT WEEK FOR PENTECOST!
THE COUNTRY PANTRY: More than 200 kids’ paks are distributed each month (June –
August) to children ages 3-19. These help supplement a family’s monthly food allotment when
schools are closed for the summer. Needed are juice boxes, pudding, canned pasta, kid-friendly soup, and fruit cups. The first donation collection will be taken to the Pantry on June 18. Let’s see
how many items we can collect. We will have a display table in the front of the church to serve as
a reminder. Can’t shop? Monetary donations are always accepted. Please make checks payable to the Country Pantry. Questions? See Judy LaGasse.
On Saturday, June 10th, we at Stone Church will have a wonderful opportunity to help care for those in need by preparing delicious meals for clients of YOUR NEIGHBORS. To provide a
significant number of meals, we need financial contributions, donations of home cooked food,
and help assembling and packaging the food. Clearly marked donations can be put in the
offering plate or mailed to the church office. Food donations can be clearly marked and put in the refrigerator or brought to the dining room on the 10th. We especially need people to help
assemble and package the meals. Please plan to join us from 10 a.m. until noon-ish in the church
dining room on Saturday, June 10.
Stone Church’s “LUNCH AND LEARNING SERIES”: Our final session will be on June 4 when
Kelli Corasanti from Studio 8 will be our guest speaker. Her program is titled “Healthy Living Begins in Your Heart.” Please mark your calendars and plan to join us.
A UNIQUE SHOPPING OPPORTUNITY: Now is the season to think about gifts for Mother’s
Day, Showers, Weddings, Graduations, etc. We have gorgeous scarves, beautiful silver goblets, china items useful for cocktail/appetizer time, dipping bowls for Asian foods, which are
amazingly crafted and much, much more. These items and many more are available for purchase
in our Fair Trade Shop, Stone Presbyterian Church, 8 S. Park Row, Clinton. Our hours are every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and second Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our unique
handmade items are from 37 different countries. Purchasing fair trade items ensures artisans and
small farmers fair wages and healthy working conditions, providing dignity, sustainable
development, and hope to marginalized people. The entrance to our shop is on Williams Street.
