to support the program’s logistical needs. Vul-

can Industries has the established procedures

and departments to ensure that your program’s

just the manufacturing process.

We pair you with a project manager familiar

with the project and trade-class. The project

manager acts as your internal point person,

available at any time to answer questions or

facilitate requested changes.

Vulcan Industries assures accuracy and track-

ing of all finished goods and warehouse inven-

tory through bar-coding technology and wireless

scanning of inventory. We utilize Electronic Data

Interchange (EDI) as requested by our clients to

obtain and communicate information relevant to

project logistical needs.

SustainabilityVulcan Industries’ paint wash system uses low phos-phate, low temperature chemicals that eliminate the need to “dump” wash holding tanks, significantly reduc-ing water consumption and waste water treatment. Current wash chemicals operate at a lower temperature than previous treatments, providing a 30 percent reduc-tion in natural gas consumed.

Vulcan Industries uses a high-efficiency air compres-sor with variable flow that reduced our air electrical consumption by 45 percent annually. We have further reduced our electrical consumption by installing high-efficiency lighting in our manufacturing facility as well as occupancy scanners to control lighting usage.

All steel, stainless steel, copper and aluminum drop, scrap and waste as well as corrugated waste are col-lected for recycling. Empty chemical drums and totes are returned to vendors for recycling.

All welding cooling water comes from wells on-site and is classified as “non-contact” by the EPA. All waste water from paint system is treated on site and conforms to Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) standards. After treatment, water is dis-charged to septic fields on site. Surrounding monitoring wells are sampled and tested monthly.
