Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning in Java
This course of study builds on the skills gained by students in Java Foundations and Java Programming.
Students are introduced to Machine Learning concepts within Artificial Intelligence and will learn terminology, syntax, and the steps required to create a Machine Learning solution in Java using hands-on, engaging activities.

AI with Machine Learning on SPŠE Ječná
• AI and ML course is provided in study programme 18-20-M/01 Informační technologie, čtyřleté maturitní studium
• It is included in the 2nd year for students with an average age of 16 years
• It is attended annually by 60 to 90 pupils and they succeed
• It is delivered by two teachers, one from MFF UK, another from PedF UK - that means ... anyone can deliver this course
AI with Machine Learning brief overview
• Prerequisites for course is elementary English, knowledge of logarithm function and mathematical probability
• Course teaches from the real beginnings, even explains recursion, binary trees, etc.
• There is full support for teachers, eLearning sources, offline slides, course timing, tasks with solutions and examples, references, reports, online tests, nice and friendly Czech ambassador…
AI with Machine Learning deep insight I.
• Basic concepts, What is AI, ML or Data vs. Information
• ML - Supervised, Unsupervised, Qualification, Regression, Data dependency
• CRISP-DM (Cross-industry process for data mining) all phases
• Work with public datasets (UCI Machine Learning repository)
AI with Machine Learning deep insight II.
• Searching in binary trees, Decision trees, recursive algorithms
• Yes/No Game (in pure Java SE, the game is teaching itself from rounds)
• Calculating Information entropy (Shannon's)
• ID3 - from analyzing dataset over calculating entropy for every field to pure Java SE implementation of source code and real test
AI with Machine Learning conclusion
• Course contains all base knowledge about ML and AI (except Artificial neural networks)
• We use it as a start point in 2nd year and in the following years we add much more. (depends on math and programming)
• Students like the course, often more than some of our own courses, because it's very illustrative and simple
• Teachers like the support which OA provides for us
