A short distance from Melbourne is the Yarra Valley, with its great wines and the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can get close to Australian animals.

Phillip Island, only a 90-minute drive from Melbourne, is home to the world famous fairy penguins. The island has spectacular coastal scenery, a fascinating heritage and plenty of other Australian wildlife. Phillip Island Nature Parks is a world leader in ecotourism and wildlife research.
