FELLOWSHIP

Member Spotlight:

Danielle Brittigan

The Outstanding New Member award given at each semester’s inductions ceremony recognizes one of the club’s new members who has shown great dedication and participation to the club and the drive to become a fully-inducted member. This year, this award was given to Danielle Brittigan. Danielle’s willingness to serve was put towards numerous projects this semester. She participated in (just to name a few) the Easter Egg

Hunt, Big Event, and Relay for Life with CKI and could always be found at socials and weekly meetings with her positive attitude and upbeat personality. A freshman Biology major from Forest, Virginia, Danielle has aspirations of attending medical school and becoming a forensic scientist. She played basketball and soccer throughout high school and works as an intermural basketball

referee. Outside of Circle K, she is involved in the Baptist Collegiate Ministries of Virginia Tech as a leader of a bible study. Danielle likes long walks on the beach and dreams to one day be able to finish a carvelanche from the Carvel store in Hokie Grill.

Great job, Danielle! Keep it up!

ICON: Circle K International’s 57th Annual International Convention

This year, ICON will be held June 27th-July 1st, 2012 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Those attending the convention will be participating in orientations, receptions, workshops, an Eliminate Walk, and a Dance to Eliminate. The convention will take place at the same time as the Kiwanis convention and the Aktion Club Training and Leadership Conference. There will be opportunities for CKI’ers to share sessions with Kiwanians and Aktion clubbers as well as have CKI-focused and individual events. Our very own Chelsea Stallworth, Lacy Grindstaff and Rob Kuczmarski will be in attendance! Have fun, guys!
