We’d love to discuss your Antarctic or High Arctic travel plans

Getting ThereWe can look after all aspects of your voyage including all of your international flights whether that’s to South America, Canada, or to Norway or Iceland (the major starting points for voyages in the High Arctic).

We are a member of IAATO (International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators), as well as a member of AFTA (Australian Federation of Travel Agents) and of ATAS (AFTA Travel Accreditation Scheme) who set the benchmark of quality for the travel industry.

Antarctica & Arctic Travel Centre’s are the specialist

Polar areas of Tailor-Made Journeys. It’s our first-hand

knowledge that allows us to help you organise what could

be described as the ultimate holiday. We will also look after

your pre and post voyage arrangements, whether that’s

in South America or in Norway, Canada or Iceland.

We have hand-picked a small number of vessels and

operators that we know well and trust to provide you

with that ‘holiday of a lifetime’. Our goal is to give you

professional and independent advice to help you select the

right vessel, voyage, operator and travel at the right time

to maximise your enjoyment and value from your trip.

Alex BurridgeManaging Director

In 2001 I undertook the first of many voyages to Antarctica, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and later the same year to the High Arctic

(Svalbard/Spitsbergen). My experience and knowledge gained whilst working for several Polar ship operators, allows us to offer expert, independent, advice to ensure your trip south really is as special as it should be.

Jennifer BoydMy inaugural cruise to Antarctica was in 2004, the experience was beyond all of my expectations. Magnificent glaciers, beautiful icebergs,

impressive mountains and the wildlife encounters all contribute to the allure of the Antarctic continent. The second time round I experienced kayaking and camping on the ice as well finally experiencing the polar plunge.

Alana LewthwaiteMy experience in Antarctica can be described as nothing short of amazing. Taking a 2 hour flight from Punta Arenas, Chile in a purpose-built BAe-146 plane to King

George Island in the South Shetlands. From King George Island, it was straight onto a Zodiac to board the waiting MV Ocean Nova, a 68-passenger ship with all the amenities needed for an exciting journey along the Antarctic Peninsula.

Hayley CrowdenIn 2015 I realised a lifelong ambition of travelling to Antarctica. I was fortunate enough to also visit the Falkland Islands and South Georgia,

which I have to admit was my favourite (much to the chagrin of some Antarctic aficionados). Gold Harbour on the southern tip of South Georgia has to be one of the most stunning places on our planet.

Cinzia MuccianteI recently returned from the Canadian High Arctic (Baffin Island and Greenland) – I struggle to find words to describe just how amazing the trip was. The scenery,

the wildlife, the expedition crew and the ship were all amazing. I didn’t realise just how powerful the ice would be, massive glaciers and near Illulisat thousands of icebergs.

BUENOS AIRES – THE LEGADO MITICO is an urbane 3-storey townhouse in the city’s bohemian Palermo Viejo neighbourhood. The hotel’s style might be called ‘aristocratic Argentine’; and 11 beautiful themed guestrooms are sensitively decorated to evoke the spirit of Argentina’s cultural and historical icons.

SANTIAGO – THE SINGULAR SANTIAGO, newly emerged in the city’s historic Lastarria neighbourhood, has been designed to embrace the area’s cultural and artistic heritage while adding a cutting-edge modernity. It maintains an old-world feeling with 19th century French influences, while incorporating a contemporary elegance and high level amenities.

PUNTA ARENAS – CABO DE HORNOS The elegant Cabo de Hornos Hotel is ideally situated and has stunning views of the straits of Magellan. All ‘Fly Cruise’ clients overnight here before boarding a flight to King George Island (Antarctic Peninsula) or Mount Pleasant (Falkland Islands).

USHUAIA - LOS CAUQUENES RESORT & SPA is just 7 km away from the town of Ushuaia (free transport to and from the town), has 54 rooms and suites, direct access to a private beach and outstanding views from all rooms and hotel areas. In addition to the spa Los Cauquenes offers gourmet cuisine in their restaurant Reinamora with onehundred- percent Patagonian dishes like lamb and king crab await.

OTTAWA – ARC HOTEL An inviting retreat within the surrounding urban landscape, The ARC Hotel welcomes business and leisure travellers to Canada’s vibrant capital. Inspired by the history as Downtown Ottawa’s first boutique hotel, providing personalized service and experiences.

OSLO – THE THIEF HOTEL Located between the iconic Astrup Fearnley Museum, the canals on Tjuvholmen and the Oslofjord, most of the 118 rooms have brilliant views. Timeless elegance with clear references to contemporary art and design is the common denominator for THIEF furnishing. The hotel’s own art curator has hand-picked art for every single room and suite from the THIEF ART collection.

LONGYEARBYEN, SPISTBERGEN – RADISSON BLUE Located on Norway’s largest island and only 1,300 km from the North Pole. One of the Northern most permanent settlements in the world, Longyearbyen provides views of the area’s snowy peaks and glaciers, the summertime glow of the midnight sun and an array of Arctic wildlife species. Keep the chill at bay in one of the 95 comfortable rooms, prior to joining you Expedition voyage.

If situations of force majeure occur during the trip, Antarctica Travel Centre or its representatives will try to offer an alternative program. If this should prove impossible, either Antarctica Travel Centre, its representative, or you are entitled to cancel the trip. In such a case, Antarctica Travel Centre will not be held financially liable. However, in the event of any cost savings, Antarctica Travel Centre shall refund these monies to you. Antarctica Travel Centre or your travel agent is obliged to assist you in obtaining a return trip/flight, however, in such circumstances you are responsible for any costs incurred.

It is understood that refunds cannot be made to travellers who do not complete the services for any reason whatsoever.
