Print the code key on a separate sheet of paper and laminate for durability i f you wish. Students choose ten words from their spelling list and write it on the left side of the page (found after the code key). Student then draws the sketch on the right side of the paper to match each letter in the spelling word found on the left. Last, student folds the paper in hal f and finds a partner to figure out the words just by seeing the pictures/code. The “guesser” can write the words on a piece of paper or say the word aloud.
