VORSTAT Receiver• It is a STATistical VHF Omnidirectional Range Receiver which allows
the evaluation of the bearing error detected by an aircraft inpresence of a Wind-Farm installation
• It takings into account the Wind-Turbines’ blades rotation whichdepends by some factors:
– Mechanical and Geometrical Characteristics
– Wind Speed
– Wind Direction
• It includes a modellation of physical phenomena related to:
– Doppler Modulation
– ElectroMagnetic CG’s Offset
– Bistatic RCS (ACCURATE E.M. Solvers)
• It includes a FAST methodology which allow a reduction of thecomputational load

Hypotheses
Our algorithm assumes that:
• the analysis is led in the far field region, therefore• each observer point (at the receiver side) is quite far from the VOR antenna and from the wind-farm,• the wind-farm is quite far from the VOR antenna,
• wind turbine blades are modeled as a material point placed on the blade tip (no SRF models),• the rotor coordinates are considered as the reference points of each wind turbine,• only one scattered ray (from the blade tip of each wind turbine) is considered in the analysis,• only the AM component of a VOR signal is taken into account,• only the AM channel of a VOR receiver is analyzed,• wind directions are not included in the analysis,• the wind speed is computed as the weighted mean of the selected wind statistics.

Limitations
The WT Analyser does not take into account the following contributions:
• scattered rays coming from static obstacles, such as orography or manmade obstacles,• wind turbine towers are neglected,• no additional interferences are considered,• no distinction between CVOR and DVOR signals is done,• the proposed algorithm only takes into account the worst case (for each wind turbine is computed the potentially
worst impact in the set of analyzed points).
