College Match• Different colleges have different levels of
selectivity:• Very Selective• Selective• Somewhat Selective• Non-Selective
• Match is based on GPA and ACT
• College list should reflect the selectivity level the student is qualified for

• Match school = matches selectivity level• The average GPA and ACT of admitted freshmen is
within a couple points of student’s GPA and ACT
• Safety school = Student’s GPA/ACT is above that of admitted freshmen
• Reach school = Student’s GPA/ACT is below that of admitted freshmen
• We encourage a minimum of 5 schools: 3 Match, 1 Safety, 1 Reach
Senior Passport• A tool for monitoring the steps necessary to successfully apply to
and pay for college. Those steps include:• Completing college applications• Submitting the FAFSA• Tracking admissions decisions and financial aid awards
• Tied to participation in activities and rewards• Halloween Dance: Individual counselor meeting by October 9th • Homecoming: 3 match applications by December 4th
• Prom:• 3 match applications• 3 admissions results• FAFSA completion• Senior exit questionnaire
