TIME TO CELEBRATEThe Volvo FH Ailsa Edition is the ideal reason to celebrate 50 years of Volvo Trucks driving progress in the UK, combining outstanding performance, driver comfort, safety and productivity. This limited edition model pays homage to Ailsa Trucks, a company established in 1967 by Jim McKelvie and Jim Keyden to market Volvo Trucks in the UK and Ireland. With its unique Ailsa interior and exterior this model is limited to a production run of just 50.

50 YEARS OF DRIVING PROGRESS Volvo Trucks soon established a reputation among drivers and operators for comfort and safety. The Volvo F86 was easy to drive, it’s system 8 synchromesh gearbox defined truck driveline technology right up until the millennium. Today the Volvo FH Ailsa Edition carries on this tradition with the unique I-Shift Dual Clutch gearbox providing a seamless gear change without torque interruption for increased comfort and improved journey times.

The last 50 years has seen a massive change in Volvo truck design and the Ailsa Edition celebrates this. This truck has a host of active safety systems with front mounted camera, lane change support and high intensity headlights. The microwave, fridge, television and new media package ensures maximum driver comfort while resting in the reclining bunk. On the move Volvo Dynamic Steering reduces driver stress and I-See cruise control acts as an autopilot that changes gears and uses hills optimally to save fuel. This really is a truck that in every detail is designed for maximum comfort and safety with optimal performance.

BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN. Some of the eye-catching interior details include specially designed black leather seats with gold details, black fabric floor mats and engine tunnel mat with gold borders and a black leather steering wheel with gold stitching.
