Messiah Lifeways volunteersare a vital part of our team.They serve with respect, confidentiality, enthusiasm,creativity, love, and concern.Messiah Lifeways volunteersare men, women and studentswho are 13 or older. We offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities thatoffer personal enrichmentfor the volunteer and helpenhance the quality of lifefor residents, clients, andteam members.

From a few hours a week to just an hour or two each month, you can enrich

the lives of clients, residents, and team members, and find your own sense

of purpose and satisfaction! We work with you to find an opportunity and

schedule that meets your lifestyle. All volunteers attend a general Messiah

Lifeways volunteer orientation and task-specific training. Volunteer tasks

include:

• Manage the clothing sale

• Take residents in wheelchairs to

Therapy, Beauty Shop, resident

programs, worship services, and

other activities

• Clerk and manage the Gift Shops,

Coffee Shop and Country Store

• Provide office support

• Share musical talents

• Sing in Men’s Chorus

• Hostess in the Fireside Grille

• Deliver ice pitchers in

Nursing Care

• Library Assistant

• Provide Pet Visits

• Read to Residents

• Team Member Support

• Swimming Assistants

• Visit with Residents

• Quilting

• On-campus Shuttle Driver

volunteer:

Volunteers assist the Auxiliary in raising funds that

help Messiah Lifeways at Messiah Village friends and

residents to continue to live a Life. Embraced.TM Here

are a few examples of what the Auxiliary does each

year:

• Donates thousands of dollars to the Messiah

Village Endowment Fund for Benevolent Care

• Thanks team members for their hard work and

dedication by purchasing Messiah Lifeways t-shirts

for team members

• Raises funds through the Messiah Village Gift

Shops, Coffee Shops, quilt sales, clothing sales,

and more.
