    The core work of the Society is family visitation and for themajority of our members their first introduction to the Society isfamily visitation work within a Conference. This work providesmembers with a real insight into, and understanding of, thedifficulties facing those we help as well as an opportunity towork with them in a practical way to find lasting solutions.*Family visitation is always done in pairs and involves meetingfamilies and individuals in their homes in a spirit of friendshipand trust and in a non-judgmental way helping with theimmediate problems they face. From their first meeting with a

    family Conferences should start planning how, over time, theirhelp and support will make a lasting difference for a person orfamily that is marginalised or socially excluded. *The weeklyConference meetings are the forum where collectively and afterdiscussion, members decide on the best course of action ineach case.
