Orphanage Visit:Every Child is special and believing in this, We the volunteers of Kolkata organised a visit to SiddharthUnited Social Welfare Mission. The orphanage shelters around 80 children. We Spent 3 hours with these children aging 5-15 years.
Slum Development:This is an On going project for Ultadanga Slum Development. Our Main motive is to do Surveys in this area and accordingly we will start a development activities and also to empower slum people to take their area's responsibility.
Give One Hour Each Day : This activity aims at educating underprivileged children in Jalandhar, contribute your 1 hour a week to
teach them. We can choose dates and subjects to teach subjects like Math and English.

About 77 million senior citizens in India (7.5% of population in 2001) As many as 90% have no social security and are emotionally depressed
35 % of the elderly in urban areas and 32 % in rural areas live alone
40 % of older people living with their families are reportedly facing abuse of one kind or another, but only 1 in 6 cases actually comes to light
Most elders are ill-treated by their own children, who have emerged as the largest group of perpetrators at 47.3 %
Neglect is the most common form of abuse at 48.7 per cent followed by emotional/psychological, financial exploitation physical abuse and abandonment respectively

Spending Time with Senior Citizens
A Helping Hand to the Senior Citizens: We have
provided senior citizens residing at AC and AD blocks of Shalimar Bagh with the list of important contact numbers comprising of Chemist shops, grocery shops, doctors, hospitals in that area, local police.
Granny’s Club: The Senior citizen club theme for the Day was Interaction of the Kids
with senior citizens to creat the sense of belongingness. The Kids gave their introduction to the elderlies and elders also gave their introduction to the kids.
