Isaac gives his time to Young Parents Network. For more than five years, he has volunteered his time to participate inYPN’s Broadway Maybies, holiday
dinners/parties, YPN’s We Care shopping night and summer picnics.
Leanne was able to make a difference in the lives of foster care children by
creating Families Helping Families, a nonprofit that addresses the unique challenges facing foster children.
Has volunteered hundreds of hours withTipton/Hardacre Community Garden,St. Andrew Society Potato Drop project,
Feds Feed Family, Tipton Lions Club,Flags over Tipton and other community
programs in Cedar County.
Is a volunteer driver for Riders Club of Cedar Rapids. Dick has been inducted into their "Around the World" Club, having driven more than 24,902 miles
to serve our senior community.
Is a volunteer driver for Riders Club of Cedar Rapids. Mary volunteers four
days a week in the morning and early afternoon. Riders Club counts on her to be the solution to getting people where
they need to be on time.
Involed with, Kidizens, a program that implemented a $10,000 project to put
flowers on the Cedar Rapids Bridge of Lions. She also volunteered
at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library.
Secretary for the Prairie High School Key Club. Josie took on responsibilities of an officer for the Key Club in 2011 and was instrumental in establishing
this group.
Volunteers at Willis Dady, providing nearly 600 hours of volunteer work in
2012. With Joe staffing the shelter overnight, clients know they are safe
and that in the event of an emergency, the proper help would be summoned.
Served on the Advisory Council for the Cedar Rapids Regional Office of Iowa
Legal Aid, has taken cases on a pro- bono basis through the Volunteer
Lawyers Project and helped to start the Shuttleworth & Ingersoll Intake Project.
Tom Olmstead, Ron Olson, Bill McFadden and Tom
Bergstrom are the members of the ‘Black Sandpaper’ Crew. Not only does this
crew lovingly offer their time and talent, they capture the spirit of Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity’s mission.
Ken, Carolyn, Brenda, Mike and other family members at times have
volunteered more than 500 hours at the Iowa Valley
Habitat for Humanity house builds in Tipton, Iowa, over the last two builds.
Dave works with the American Legion and various other community service projects. Martha is involved
in American Legion Auxiliary, the Junior Auxiliary and the Iowa Girls State. Their son and daughter are involved in other community programs.
Has been volunteering for Meals on Wheels for more than a year. ImOn provides 20 volunteers once a month
and drives 10 routes, providing about 100 seniors with meals each month.
Junior League of Cedar Rapids has helped foster
care youth at Foundation 2. They prepare and serve
dinner to program participants twice monthly and help with life-skills training.
