The volume of a solid is the amount of space it occupies.
Capacity :
Capacity is the amount of liquid a container can hold when it is full.
Definition - 3. Capacity
Capacity is a measure of how much a container can hold. We might measure the capacity of a bottle, cup or cartoon anything which can hold something else. - 4. dimensions; compass; space occupied, as measured by cubic
units, that is, cubic inches, feet, yards, etc.; mass; bulk; as,
the volume of an elephant's body; a volume of gas.Aamount,
fullness, quantity, or caliber of voice or tone.
Volume - 5. Measuring Capacity
We can use different equipment to measure capacity.
Capacity is often defined as the capability of an object, whether that is a machine, work center or operator, to produce output for a specific time period, which can be an hour, a day, etc. - 6. The volume of an object is the amount of space it takes up.
For example, an inflated balloon takes up more space than an empty
balloon. That means that a balloon that is blown up has more volume
than one that hasnt been blown up.
