December 24, 2010 @ 5:30 p.m.

Each year as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, it is our custom as a congregation to submit an offering for our ministers and staff. On the Sundays of December the 5th, 12th, and 19th, we will request and gratefully accept a Christmas love offering for our ministry, office, and custodial staff in addition to the regular giving. If you would like to take part in expressing our appreciation, please place your financial gift in the regular offering on one of the afore-mentioned Sundays. You may also present it to one of the ushers or elders. Checks should be made payable to the Woodford Community Christian Church. It is very important that they be designated as a “Ministers’ Gift” under the memo section. Cash donations should be placed in a sealed envelope and identified in the same manner. We will present a check to each of our ministers and staff on behalf of the congregation. Our ministers and staff work very hard in the service of our Lord and this is a tangible way of showing how much we appreciate their labor of love. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate contact one of the elders. May God bless each and every one of you and may Jesus be glorified by the love we show one another not only during the celebration of His birth, but throughout the coming year.

Your elders in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Wayne Boyd, Mike Wash, Tony Hardin, Don Robinson

Sunday Nights inside out

If you are a high school student or know a high

school student, this program is for you! Every Sunday night students come together for fellowship, games, fun, food, and worship. Our worship team (made up of students) does an awesome job each week helping to create a program that is fun, relevant, and challenging. inside out will be an event you will not want to miss. Our prayer is that each student leave challenged each Sunday night to live their lives for God. We want them to be consumed with Him from the INSIDE OUT.

Wednesday Nights– the edge What a great start! We are having a blast with our middle school students on Wednesday nights at the edge.

the edge runs from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Students get to worship, hang out with their friends, and just have fun playing games. Come check it out! We understand that student have a lot of things to do during the week. It is our prayer that they will make the edge a priority. We are also praying that students will leave each week with a desire to choose to live their lives for Jesus.

A huge thanks to everyone for making Germinate (the student portion of the National Missionary Convention) a big success. All of our students were great! Over two days, students had the opportunity to build walls for a church plant, make 1000’s of meals for Haiti, worship together, meet and interact with missionaries from all over the world, and spend time together having fun. I want to especially thank our awesome group of adult leaders who helped make the weekend go smoothly. It was great to see our students having fun and working together.
