I am very happy to present to you the 3rd edition of our Journal themed ‘A Journey to Quality’. It has been a memorable

journey for SkyWorld to be where we are today. Looking back, I am very impressed with the progress made in the last

four years and this will not happen without the support of my dedicated team ‘SkyRians’, relentless Business Associates

and valued home purchasers.

Sharing our SkyWorld journey in this journal is definitely worth it and rewarding because there are a lot of good going

that’s worth celebrating and sharing with everyone. Though 2018 has been a challenging year, we managed to sail

through it with strong determination and gratitude. This year, we were awarded many industry recognitions and one of

the greatest achievements is winning the ‘Best Employer Award 2018’ by AON Hewitt. This is a true acknowledgement

of our continuous e�ort and responsibility towards our employees. I must say we have the ‘Best Team’ in SkyWorld who

has always uphold the company’s core values and working hard in realizing the company’s vision.

experience as an enriched urban living through connectivity, community and comfortability. This is an end-to-end

digestive disorders and keep healthy & beautiful skin.

Add lemongrass to your everyday cooking!

• A nice complement to meat and seafood. Use the whole stalk as

skewers to lend a subtle flavor to grilled meat.

• Whip up salad dressings like vinaigrette, mayonnaise or aioli.

• Toss it into your fizzy drinks for some sweetness.

• Boil lemongrass syrup and add it into your drinks and desserts.

• Grind the leaves and turn it into chutney.

• Harmonizes well with coconut milk to poach chicken or fish.

PANDAN LEAVES also known as screw pine leaves have a naturally

sweet taste and fragrant aroma. This plant is extensively used for

flavorings in cooking and baking. This green spike color leaves are

excellent as natural food coloring too! Surprisingly, pandan leaves

are used beyond just cooking because of its various substances

that is very beneficial for health: great pain reliever, cramps

reducer, anti-carcinogenic, gum-strengthener, wounds-healer,

arthritis-reliever, reduce fever, skin problem solver, treats high

blood pressure.

Great ways with pandan leaves:

• Add into any hot beverage for flavorings.

• Stir into curries and steam a few blades for an aromatic rice.

• Wrap up meat or seafood before grill, bake, fry or barbeque.

• Whisk up a pandan kaya and spread it over a bread.

• Tie a knot and place in soups or stews.

• Pairs well with coconut milk and palm sugar for desserts.

• Good complement with star anise, ginger and coriander.

FRESH BASIL PESTO

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cups fresh basil leaves

• ½ cup freshly grated Romano or Parmesan-Reggiano cheese

• ½ cup extra virgin olive oil

• ½ cup pine nuts (can sub chopped walnuts)

• 3 garlic cloves, minced (about 3 teaspoons)

• ¼ teaspoon salt, more to taste

• Little freshly ground black pepper, more to taste

STEPS

1. Place the basil leaves and pine nuts into the bowl of a food processor

and pulse a several times.

2. Add the garlic, Parmesan or Romano cheese and pulse several times more.

Scrape down the sides of the food processor with a rubber spatula.

3. While the food processor is running, slowly add the olive oil in a steady small stream.

4. Stir in salt and black pepper. Toss with pasta for a quick sauce, dollop over

baked potatoes, or spread onto crackers or toasted slices of bread.

INGREDIENTS

• 5 stalks lemongrass

• 4 pandan leaves

• 1 litre water

• 20g agar-agar powder

• 150ml brown sugar (water)

• ¼ finely cut cincau strips

• kiwi fruit slices, for topping

STEPS

1. Slice the lemongrass (bottom 12cm of the white portion only) and pandan

leaves and place in an electric blender or food processor.

2. Add enough water to operate the blades and process into a paste.

Mix in the remaining water and strain; discard pulp.

3. In a saucepan, combine the agar-agar powder, sugar and 150ml water;

bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer to dissolve sugar and agar-agar

powder, and stir occasionally while cooking.

4. Add the lemongrass and pandan mixture and 1-2 drops food colouring (optional).

Stir to mix well and simmer on medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes.

5. Strain mixture into a wet mould and add in the cincau strips. Stir to mix well.

Leave aside to set at room temperature. When set, transfer to the refrigerator

to chill well – you can also leave it to chill overnight.

6. To serve, cut the jelly using any desired cutter. Top with a slice of kiwi fruit.

RUNNING is said to be the king of cardio. Anyone can

run and you do not need any equipment except for a

pair of good running shoes. You can run anytime, any

basic strokes – freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and

butterfly and these strokes let you engage almost all

your muscle group. Swimming is a great aerobic and

As a beginner, a 30-minutes three times a week is

good to keep you well shaped and if you are capable,

try to extend it to 45 minutes or even an hour.

From 13 December 2017 to 15 February 2018,

SkyWorld continues its e�orts to promote the

innovative #DaretoCare charity drive.

This is a collaborative corporate social responsibility

initiatives with Star Media Group, which aims to

address the growing needs of underprivilleged homes

in Malaysia. Public is encouraged to donate the

goodies needed by the underprivileged homes.

This 2-month campaign has garnered a lot of

attention with more than 1,300 bags filled with

essential items collected from the public. It is the

generosity of Malaysians that led to a successful

campaign.

A big thank you to all the kind donors who make a

di�erence in the lives of the less fortunate with just

a small act. Let's hope the goodwill and support for

all the underprivileged will be continued as charity

has no time limit.

On 22 January 2018, SkyWorld unveiled the highly

anticipated Quality Centre, the first of its kind in

Malaysia. The grand opening ceremony was o�ciated

by YB Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Adnan, Minister of

Federal Territories together with Datuk Ng Thien

Phing, Founder & Group MD of SkyWorld. This

ceremony marked another important milestone for

SkyWorld as it took the bold step of championing

QLASSIC / CONQUAS quality commitments in all its

developments in Kuala Lumpur.

On 1 July 2018, SkyWorld held two community events

at 2 of its gallery at Setiawangsa and Sentul. During

the Raya Open House at Setiawangsa, visitors were

entertained with an array of traditional Malay food,

musical performance, clay art sculpture making, ring

toss game, bubble clay art and many more.

As for Sentul Gallery, #DaretoDance participants hit

the floor with their best dances such as latin, salsa, hip

hop, contemporary and traditional dance. The judges

were blown away with the performance from Cutie

Sparkles, Kingsman and B-Streetboys. All winners

walked home with cash prizes and trophies.

The SkyAwani Key Handover Ceremony held on 18 August 2018 was a huge

success with the presence of VVIP, including YB Tuan Haji Khalid Bin Abd.

Samad, Federal Minister; YBhg Tan Seri Haji Mhd. Amin Nordin bin Abd. Aziz,

Mayor of Kuala Lumpur; and Chua Tien Chang, Vice President of Parti

Keadilan Rakyat. SkyAwani 1 Residences is the first RUMAWIP that achieved

76% QLASSIC score and the first RUMAWIP to handover with Strata Title.

More than 600 purchasers attended this event and there were also lucky

SkyWorld’s Kidz CityOn 17 & 18 March, SkyWorld held the “Kidz City” event at SkyWorld Gallery @ Setapak. The 2-day event captured an overwhelming response where over 500 children get to learn real life jobs and training. On 23 May 2018, SkyRians get together at SkyWorld Property Gallery @ Setapak for the top-down gathering. This bi-annual gathering is to keep everyone abreast of the company's direction, financial highlights and project progresses presented by the top management.

Town HallMeeting 2018

On 17 August 2018, SkyWorld held the 2018 Town Hall Meeting at its Property Gallery in Setapak. As part of the health and wellness initiative, SkyRians took part in SkyWorld Badminton Cup 2018. This competition saw strong teamwork, high spirits and determination of our people. 20 teams participated and the winning teams walked home with prize money.
