100 Mexican silver dollars for land in Mexico . Ambrosio like

Leonardo Manso was in the business of buying and selling

land . Ambrosio named this land Arguelles Banco , the land

had a lake , the water was from the river so it was call a bank .

Rancho Jacalon

Founded in 1832 by Leonardo Manso , Rancho Jacalon in the Llano Grande land

grant , originally granted by Crown of Spain to Juan Jose Hinojosa , said portion set

aside to Leonardo Manso , having frontage on the Rio Grande of two miles , running

north between parallel lines to the north en of said grant , 17 miles . In 1881 grand

son Ambrosio Arguelles Manso took over Rancho Jacalon in the same land set apart

for him by grand father Leonardo Manso .
